Hi,
I am new to this forum. I am passing through my first IVF cycle. Today is 7 DPT. For the last two-three days I was experiencing mild cramping. Yesterday morning I experienced some brownish spotting which we interpreted as implantation spotting. By evening, it turned into full flow bleeding. This was coupled with quiet a bit of cramping. This is like full AF.
We called our doctor and she advised us to keep the progestrone going till the day of the first blood test. I searched around this forum and I got to read that some of the readers already experienced this. My question is, is this a good sign? I understand that while spotting is normal, heavy bleeding is not. I am worried that all is already lost. How many of you experienced an AF and still got a BFP?

Hi Jhuma,
Some people do experience bleeding early on in pregnancy. I was diagnosed with a subchorionic hematoma early on, and boy did that look just like AF! It was scary. Keep taking your progesterone just in case. I have my fingers crossed for you!

jhuma: Oh man, I know of many women who have full on bled during their first few weeks positive. It's the cramping that has me a little more concerned but I'm not a doctor. When is your appointment with your RE? Stay on that progesterone and keep us posted. Warm hugs and all positivity your way.

Cramping is probably the most common sign of pregnancy. I think 99% of the girls that have been pregnant on these boards will tell you that they experienced cramping during their first trimester. I am 6wks and still have AF like cramps daily. My REs office told me that it is totally normal
Hope this helps!

This post is 5 months old and since every post the OP ever made on this board was in this thread, I doubt she ever checks here.
