Just joined. Looking to gather information, and support from other couples dealing with infertility. My husband has low sperm count and overall just poor quality. We are meeting with a Dr. next week to discuss IVF and hopefully start in the next month or two. I am perfectly fine so far. Everything is normal and working correctly.
Have any of you had a successful outcome with IVF when male factor was your only issue. I will take all the input and info you are willing to give. I've just been trying to read up a lot online and get prepared. I'm very nervous, but hopeful. This is our only shot for awhile because of finances. I look forward to meeting and talking to you all!

Welcome to the board. I'm sorry you find yourself here, but you will find this is a great place for info and support. There are many of us on here due to male factor IF (MFI). Some have other issues as well and some don't. We only have MF, nothing else. I have had a lot of success. You can read my story here if you would like: A little about me, an introduction *Children/Pregnancy mentioned*
I hope you find success with your cycle!!Last edited by SC-Stargazerlily; 04-26-2012 at 09:32 PM.

Hi! I'm new here too. I was diagnosed yesterday with Diminished Ovarian Reserve (I'm 36) and my husband (38) apparently has a ton of sperm but bad morphology (1%). Our RE has recommended agressive IVF ICSI, which I think we might do. (It's been a lot to take in since yesterday!) We don't have only male factor issues, but I thought maybe we could help each other navigate this whole process - it's pretty intense. Good luck with everything!

Hello W,
I'm sorry you didn't get the news you were expecting. We definitely felt that way a few months ago as well. We started seeing a specialist in Oct-Nov. of last year and all along we though that there was going to be something they could easily treat. I remember the RE telling us that IVF was our best chance of conceiving and I felt devastated. Now that it has been a few months it has sunk in and we are really excited and anxious to start IVF/ICSI! I suggest just reading up on all you can online, that really helped answer many of my concerns and questions. A far as we know I am fine I'm 23 and my husband is 23 as well. Mostly just really poor sperm overall. I'm not very familiar with Diminished Ovarian Reverse, but I hope that you can find success! I know especially with the male factor I feel very confident that eventually we will see that BFP through IVF/ICSI! I'd love to keep in touch with you through the process. Best of wishes and prayers your way
Abby

Dutcher- my very first ivf I THOUGHT the only problem was my DH. He had about 1% morphology and low count. I was very upset - until I researched a bit. I feel like MF is the easiest case to fix. IVF and ICSI make most MF problems no biggie. Good luck!
