You will know if you are in June if your egg retrieval will be in June. If your egg retrieval will be between months you can choose if you want one group or the other or both. If you choose to be in both groups please let me know.

I am also new to this thread. Me: 25 DH: 28 I am waiting for AF (should be next weekend) and will have a June retrieval if everything goes accordingly. Due to male factors our chances of conceiving naturally are very slim and our RE recommended IVF. I am looking forward to hearing from everyone who will be on the same journey.

Hey always0627...sorry for the brief introduction! I know you will have success with IVF! We have unexplained infertility other than my age *ughh*! I have had exceptional results with the meds: 1st IUI 5 follicles and all levels were great...I wasn't at a specialist and my RE thinks they did the trigger too soon and my eggs didn't have time to mature. 2nd IUI: 7 folicle, added Ganirilex to hold the follicle a little longer great estrogen, progesterone levels, etc. RE couldn't believe it didn't work. Did an SIS at the beginning of the month and it was perfect(other than I jumped because the saline water was sensitive to my uterus). RE said unusual, but not a problem. We decided to let my body rest until AF in May which should be on the 4th or so.

Anyway! I sure did go on and on! So excited and eager to share and hear other's journeys as well.
This is obviously my first time blogging or posting, so I will keep it short and sweet from now on!

mcj- welcome to the group Sorry you find yourself here, but I hope this is the only cycle you have to do if you don't mind me asking what is your IF due to?

Always- Welcome to the group I am male factor also, what kind of male factor are you? Did you try any IUIs before going to IVF or just straight to IVF? I hope this is your cycle

mcj - I sure hope this will be your time! Are you doing IVF with ICSI?

BC - Nice to meet you! I read your journey and I will keep you guys in our prayers. Wishing you guys the best of luck! It seems like an IUI will be less stressful.

AFM - My DH and I have been married for 5 years but together 8. We were really good friends in Highschool but started dating after I graduated. He's such a great partner to go through life with and I couldn't have ask for a better man. He did have surgery when he was young that caused possible damage and was dx with varicocele in 2009. We decided to just pray about everything and continue our lives. He worked on his career in 2010 and became an ER Technician at Baylor Healthcare. Our prayers were answered when we found out that inifertility treatment was covered with a 15,000.00 lifetime max through Baylor. We finally decided that 2012 will be our year to focus on a family. We started seeing our RE this year and based on his 2nd SA results our he decided that IVF/ICSI would provide our best result. I'm trying not to be nervous but there is a lot that goes into IVF. I'm not looking forward to the shots.... lol


1st SA - 2009
Count-3 million
Motility-3%
Morphology- 0%

2nd SA - 2012
Count-1 million
Motility-6%
Morphology- 50%

BC- IF due to my age (41) we can't figure out why 2 IUIs were BFN. I have great results, DH (35)count is 10 million not sure on motility and morphology, but RE stated all was perfect with him.

Always- we will do IVF with ICSI

MCJ- It sounds like you and I will be going through this on the same timeline. That's awesome. If referring to me by my name is easier then that works for me. My name is Amber.

Thanks, Amber! I think we will! Day 28 is May 4th, so anytime on or after that I'll do my baseline. Last time they had to give me a shot of progesterone to make AF arrive due to my body going through all the stims. Hopefully AF will arrive with out that this time. I'm ready!! I know you are too. What is SA? I'm not familiar with all of the abbreviations.
