Heart- Sorry you're feeling emotional. Everything today makes me frustrated and weepy. Aren't hormones wonderful!

Christine- Congrats on getting 8! FX that all will fertilize.

MCJ- Hope everything goes well with your labs and FX for trigger tonight.

How's everyone else doing in the 2ww? I'm trying to focus on the fact that my beta is only 1 week away. But if one more person tells me they're pregnant, I might just have a meltdown.

Hey, all. Quick update because I'm still groggy. Bad news and good news. Bad news is that the RE could not get to my left ovary where the majority of the follies were. She said the risk of hitting a blood vessel was too high. Good news is that she retrieved three eggs from the right ovary. I was really disappointed, but the embryologist came by, and he said that all three were mature, and quality is more important than quantity. We are doing ICSI, so I am hopeful that they all fertilize. He'll call tomorrow to give me the fertilization report. Please pray that all three make it to Thursday.

Christine -- congrats on the 8! I hope and pray that you will have many quality embryos! About the not eating, they gave me meds to cleanse the colon yesterday, so that's why I could only have liquids.

Ok, I'm going to take some pain meds and crash. I will check in later tonight.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome! It's so nice to have such a great support group and follow the journeys of others, rather than just obesessing on my own.

@Shapeshifter - Thank you so much for the encouraging words. You've given me some hope again! If you don't mind me asking, what was your follie count at the end of your stim cycle? My RE increased my Follistim, so I'm hoping that will produce more follies. Will know more tomorrow!

Good luck to everyone going in for ERs today, exciting!!!

** Just heard from my RE and my Day 6 E2 level is 399 (Day 4 was 121). Not sure if this is good? She also said that all 7 follies are roughly the same size. Yay!

Hi Sctrojan, it's definitely the length that counts with those follicles. Just before the trigger I had only 5 follicles over 13mm, including the two outliers that were about 18mm and about 4 that were 11mm. There were quite a few (say 6) around 8-10mm that were never going to make it so after 12 days of stimming they decided to go for those 18mm ones and in the 2 days between the last FSH and the ER there must have been quite a bit of good growth. I expected 4 eggs and got 8 (7 were mature)!
After my first blood test in the cycle my FSH level was increased from 215 to 300 units and I was so upset as I knew that being closer to the maximum of 400 units meant I was a relatively poor responder for my age. The average they start people on in Australia is 125 units (I know they stimulate quite a bit more in the US).
    Me: 37; DH: 43 - Married 7/11 TTC 2.5 years
DX: DOR - AMH 0.5, high FSH.

    IVF#1 5/12 - antagonist. 1 blast trans - BFN.
    IVF#2 7/12 - agonist. 0 fert.
    IVF#3 9/12 - antagonist w ICSI, DHEA & Saizen. 2 blasts trans - BFP!

    Beta1 - 96, beta2 - 826.
    7w scan - HB130.
    19w scan - it's a boy!

Chimera - excellent webpage, thanks! So according to this I can start testing from tomorrow with all the trigger hCG out of my system. I don't think I'll be able to resist the temptation!

Heart -- Good luck with your progesterone check today. I hope you are able to stay off the meds. I took my first PIO shot last night and started Prometrium suppositories. The shot itself didn't hurt too bad, but I was a little sore afterwards. DH massaged the area and I put heat on it, so that helped.

Chimera -- thanks for all the great info on the meds, and good luck with the HPT experiment. I am also interested in hearing your results. I didn't know redheads had finer nerve endings. I am sorry you had a rough time with the Lupron. I had done a little reading on NASH because the docs were concerned about my liver levels earlier in the cycle too. I am glad you are past that and past the noodles. Also, I wanted to add that your wedding photo is quite lovely!

Clairity -- thanks! I made it through the first PIO. I only have to do them every other day, so I hope that gives my tush time to heal.
****Mention Congrats on the BFP!!!! Good luck with the beta. End Mention****

Cathy -- ***Mention I'm praying that your stepsister won't be the only one expecting! It sounds like you got through the weekend ok, though. Good for you! I have a 27 year old cousin who is getting married in December. His bride-to-be is already in her 30s, so I am expecting they will start a family soon. I know I'm not going to take it well if they become parents before hubby and I do. I used to change his diapers after all! End mention****

The site is getting sluggish on my phone. I'm typing this on my IPAd, so I'm going to submit this post before I lose my work. I'll continue personals in a new post.
