cathy25 - I hear you, there is a girl at my work who can't be more than 20 who is accidentally pregnant and everyone is talking about the excitement of her pregnancy. I can't help but think how much wiser I would be as a parent than her. Of course being your sister it's different to just a colleague so good luck with that.
I've been to a counsellor at my fertility clinic to talk about my issues with pregnant women as I was judging myself harshly about how jealous I have been feeling. She made me realise how normal it is to have these feelings so I felt much better after that.

Hi Everyone! I hope you are all well!

Bella & Christine – how exciting that you two have moved on to the trigger stage!!! Congrats on yet another step! Good luck with your ER!!

Heart – Lucky you not having to go on any meds. I wish you luck on the progesterone check I have been worried because they changed my protocol from progesterone and oil to Crinone only. It is really easy to apply (vag Suppositories) put I keep hoping it’s enough to do the trick.

Christine – I think they must grow from the last day of stims to retrieval because I did my last day on Tuesday and all eggs were ready and matured by Friday with a Wed retrieval. Don’t worry.

Chimera – Sorry to hear about your NASH. I had never even heard of such a thing. You ladies are teaching me so much on this blog. I am glad that things have turned around and how cool is it that you got to take less injections but got the same results. I wish all IVF protocols had less injections.

Clairity – Thanks much, I hear that 5 day transfers can offer a better chance. It feels so weird knowing that my embabies are so far away. Cant wait until Wed. OMG on the BFP!!!! I am soooo happy for you! I am over the moon..you would think it was my BFP. What exactly if FRER? Good luck with your beta. Now let’s just wait to see how many embryos you have in there!! Goodluck!

Drsquid – Yay – Stims are almost done!! Good luck on the trigger!!!

Dallas – Petri is such a little cutie! You will be blessed for taking care of her! Congrats on the lovely embabies! Hopefully some of the others will be ready for freezing! You are very fortunate!!!

Heart – **MENTION**I actualy have extreamly horrible cramps in the beginning of my first pregnancy**END MENTION**. Sometimes it could be a good sign. I am crossing my fingers for you. Let us know if you decide to POAS.

MCJ – Grow follies grow!! Good luck tomorrow!! The 375 Gonal-F should help!!

Cathy – Nice to see you staying busy during your 2ww. I can relate to the situation with you and your step- sister. Just stay positive through it all.

Shape - I know what you mean. **Mention**There are 5 pregnant girls in my office**End Mention Just stay positive!!

AFM – Feeling really good today and getting a lot done around the house. For some reason my nips are really sore not sure if it is the Crinone which I am taking twice a day. I will be on bed rest in Wed and Thursday so I am preparing the house for that. Wednesdays ET could not get here any faster. At every stage, I have a new concern. This stage has me thinking how will I know if they actually put the embabies in? I know that sounds crazy but that’s where I am at.

I'm new to this thread, although I've been reading all your posts for a few days and love to see the support you provide one another. I am in the middle of my first IVF cycle so I could use all the advice I can get. I'm still getting used to all the acronyms but I'm 35 yrs old. My DH is 33 with a severe male factor. I'm on Day 6 of my stims and just found out today that my left ovary isn't producing follies, but my right has 7 follies at the moment. Pretty discouraged. Is it possible that I'll see more follies at my next u/s in 2 days?

Bella & Christine- GL tomorrow! Update us once your home and rested!

Sctrojan- Welcome to the group I have added you to our chart. You probably wont get anymore follicles unless your ovary starts to kick in or your RE ups your meds. GL on your cycle

Finally- Thanks Crinone has been used by many women with successful pregnancies. It will not show up too much in your bloodwork but it is targeting the correct area. I'm not sure what the side effects are but when I took endometrim I had sore bbs, cramping all of the early pregnancy signs! That's why I am trying not to read any signs I'm having because it could be the after affect of the clomid. This was my first time taking it so I don't know how my cycle will be from it.

Drsquid- You crack me up.......I did the same thing except I didn't text my RE the results.....lol! Oh also I have very thick skin when I comes to tags so don't ever feel like you offended me in any way But in all Honesty some techs suck as well as some doctors when it comes to scanning, I feel that before anyone can scan they should be properly trained (just my opinion).

McJ- Thanks I am trying my hardest to be busy. I even choose to hang out with my crazy family 2 days in a row (communion & bridal shower). Your E2 looks good to me, hopefully you get to trigger tomorrow

Cathy- Oh the PIO can give you some crazy dreams plus night sweats! I can't sit to see what I dream tonight....lol! My poor DH doesn't know how I'm gonna react when I get up. ****ments**** sorry you have to deal with your sibling being preggo but hopefully you will be joining her shortly ****end mention****

Quick post since it is almost midnight and have an early/long day tomorrow at work...sorry I did not get to everyone.

@Heartangel- HCG is usually gone about 10-11 days after the trigger, although it can last up to 12 days- depending on your physiology.

@Finally- yes, progesterone causes boob and nipple tenderness. Progesterone is known as "the pregnancy hormone"...pregnancy causes an increase in progesterone and is why many pregnant women complain of breast soreness. Pre-pregnancy, it helps thicken the uterine lining and can cause some of the PMS symptoms that we experience. *Also* FRER= First Response Early Response- a HPT (home pregnancy test) or POAS (pee on a stick)

@sctrojan- Yes, the acronyms can be a little confusing. There is a list of acronyms on the first page of this thread, I think- as well if you click on the main "home tab" at the upper left. You can go to your profile and do a signature as well. It's not required here but most of us do- it is kind of live personal diary and helps other cyclers remember the specifics without rereading a lot of posts.

@clairity- Yes, I am set up for the Crinone now, but was originally prescribed the PIO. My RE only half heard me, I think, until we had a CTJ (come to Jesus) or WTH/WTF meeting. So, as a May cycler called it...Crinone=Vag goo. My husband is so thrilled, LOL.

    ***child mention***
@shapeshifter- your feelings are completely normal and common. I'd be lying if I said I didn't also experience some jealousy- it is just NOT fair how the women who are the least able to take care of a child are the ones who get pregnant by sneezing!!! It seems the "formula" for getting pregnant easily is to be 15-18 with no education, no money, and the baby daddy MIA or only half in the picture. My 26 year old cousin just had her 7th child last month. Yes, 7th. She got married to an Army guy at 18- she only has a GED- and she thinks that "organic" means any plain vegetable. At our last family get together, she asked me if I had any plans on becoming a mom and if so, "I better get a move on it because I am old." In her defense- she is an *awesome* mom and truly loves her kids, but has limited financial resources. How do you take care of 7 children under the age of 6 by yourself- her husband is usually deployed??? I mentally waffle between wanting to help her as much as I can... and wanting to secretly take 1 of the babies home with me. With 7, would she really miss 1? And if so, how long would it be before anyone noticed- their house is *complete*chaos??? Again, I am not proud of these thoughts at all- but I am being honest and hope it helps you...
    ***child end***

AFM- I have decided to do a little experiment with the HPT vs beta test. I did a lot of research on different HPT brands, levels, and timing and came up with my own self-experiment. From my research, it appears that the cheapest/most reliable/most used HPT are actually the pregnancy strip tests (AKA dip sticks) at 33 cents. The standard most reliable/most used POAS style is $6.50 each for a 2 pack. So, I purchased 2 different types: the Wondfo Pregnancy Test Strips (25 count, individually wrapped for $8.15) and the First Response Early Result Pregnancy Test (FRER) (2 count, for $12.98) from amazon. The hypothesis of this experiment is that the Wondfo test is as sensitive or more so than the First Response, and therefore is a great inexpensive option for a woman going through infertility treatments who wishes to do repeated HPT before the beta. The 2nd hypothesis would be how early a woman could detect HCG- 4dp5dt or 6dp3dt is believed to be the biological earliest.
    http://www.ivfconnections.com/forums...Pregnancy-Test
Note: In my case, there is no risk of false-positive due to HCG trigger because I am doing a FET. As such, I can test on ET day and would get a negative result. The experiment will be set up to have positive (a pregnant woman) and negative controls (me on ET day) and daily HPT testing until Beta day. The assumption is that I will, of course, be on the ~40% BFP success side to make this experiment work,

heart- i only scanned to tease him.. otherwise i wouldnt have bothered. im going tomorrwo and my retrieval is likely weds so.. it isnt like the times i was doing iui and was concerned. i wrote back to him that i didnt measure cause i have to have a reason to actually go see him. gotta make it fun otherwise you will go nuts.. and yeah i agree lots of good and bad techs. to be honest, in general a doc scanning is like asking a doc to draw blood.. we dont do it often and if the nurse who does it all day cant hit it... i dont bother trying to scan myself. my tech friends are AWESOME. i totally owe them. i start at a new hospital next month so.. if this works i gotta suck up fast so i can get scans =)

Thanks for the well wishes, everybody. We are about to leave for the ER. I'm not worried about the procedure since I'll be knocked out. I am anxious to hear the fert. report tomorrow. I did wake up with sore bbs this morning, so I'm wondering if the trigger caused that. My biggest fear right now is ovulating before the retrieval. I was a bit moody yestrday, but that was more because my friends were posting pictures of their meals on Facebook while I was stuck with chicken broth. (in their defense, they don't know about the ER, so they didn't know I was on a liquid diet.) Best of luck to everyone!

Hi everyone. I've just had news that although I had 3 blastocysts at 5 days after ER, one of which was transferred that day, the other two were not of the quality required to survive the freezing process. I'm pretty disappointed as, like all of us at the first cycle I'm sure, I had hoped to be one of those lucky people who can have their whole family (2 kids) from one cycle of IVF. But looking back the stimming wasn't as awful as it felt at the time and it was over pretty quickly.

Clairity - correct me if I'm wrong but I heard that POAS were unreliable with IVF as you can get false positives and negatives with the other drugs we take, like pregesterone? What do others think about this? I have a blood test for pregnancy (is this what you call Beta?) on 6/20, 11 days post ET but due to travelling for work I'll probably have it a day or more later.

Finally Here - **CHILD MENTION - 5 PG in the office is a killer - I'm glad I work in a small one! - END MENTION**

Chimera - you're a great source of information on this forum, thanks : ) You're right about the crinone and breast soreness, my doctor said that I should be hopeful that the pain continues beyond the crinone as that would mean I was PG. But they are very tender, I find wearing sports bras for support helps.

Belladuke - fingers crossed for lots of healthy, mature eggs at your ER. For me, who had only local anesthetic with some sedation, recovery only required one day. I took two days off work but really only needed the one. It felt so good to be off the stimming drugs so 2 days post ER I felt the best I had in ages.

Chimera - I also wanted to say thanks for your candid description of your feelings about your cousin, that's exactly a what I was thinking but didn't say in so many words. Taking one of those kids off your cousin's hands seems like a perfect solution - if only it was that simple!
