golauree - sorry you are feeling torn about using a HPT. I can't imagine how hard that dilemma will be for me in hopefully a few weeks! All I can say is that some ladies have different feelings if they have a BFP and some have none at all! They only realize their symptoms in retrospect! (Ie: oh yeah, that's why I was so tired, or that's why I was CRAVING that burger!) It can be so subtle at the time you may not think anything of it. So just know every woman is different - some it feels like AF coming any minute with tons of cramps and some bleeding and some women it's nothing really at all. Prayers for you and dh that you get your BFP in nine days!

Faith32 - Congratulations on doing your first lupron injection! Glad you got the BCP figured out too! Sorry about the other person in the waiting room. I tend to look down and ignore everyone when I go to my clinic. I also know that they tend to group people together though so there isn't much of that. So if your pregnant, your ultrasound will be around other pregnant people. IVF and IUI people the same.

Amywink - Glad you are doing so well! Isn't that funny that we actually long to feel worse?

jkmommy08 - Good luck tomorrow! I hope everything goes well and you are able to start ASAP!! Glad you are feeling better too!

golauree - Oh if your afraid of a negative HPT I wouldn't take an HPT. There is a reason why your RE has you come in when you do. Ignorance is really bliss at this point.

Amywink - YAY for 14 follies! that's a great #!!!

GoLauree - yeah... don't do it! HPT's are bad news. Wait it out if you can. (of coarse that's a very hard thing to do) ... you won't feel any symptoms of preggers until around BETA anyway... symptoms are a response to pregnancy hormones and they aren't high enough to cause symptoms until it's time to test.... anything weird you might feel right now is only because of all the stupid hormones we have to inject ourselves with. Just hang in there and keep your mind busy with other things the best you can. AUG 9th is on it's way!!!

GoLauree - Sorry that the 2ww seems so far away! I know when you are waiting to find out it seems like forever. Try to stay busy while still taking it easy! I hope it goes by quickly and you get a BFP!!

AMywink - Congrats on your 14 follies! That is a great number!!

Jess & Brett - Wow! I am so excited for you! That is a great number. How many are you going to transfer!?

AFM - Went in for my day 8 us/bw yesterday morning. While i was there I met with a nurse to discuss the hives... Its actually a very common reaction and they suggested taking benedryl before i do that injection and to ice it right away after the injection. So I did that last night and it was so much better. Still had hives but it wasn't as bad. The other injections are going good. Last night I didn't even feel the menapur or the follistim... I had put a cold wash cloth on my tummy for a few minutes before doing them (this was for the cetrotide, but it seemed to help the others too)! As for my ultrasound.... It was really good! Last time they said they would be stretching it to say i had 6 good ones.... well yesterday I had 10 good ones and the nurse thought i had more hiding behind the cysts... so... She said they may get even more follies when they do the retrieval than what they can see now. One cyst measured 40mm the other is decreasing!! It is about a 12... YEAH for cysts going away! I have another us/bw tomorrow they think they will want an extra day on the stims to get a few more nice and plump for the ER. Im okay with that.

Amywink--Congrats on the number of Follies!! That's great! I am also sooo glad you didn't kick that lady in the shin that had the babies..LOL.. **children mentioned** My sister who is 2 years older than me, has 6 children now, and the youngest two are 1.5 yrs old and newborn. I have learned to channel that anger somewhere else and go get my hair done, nails done, something she cannot do with her situation! I go shopping, spend quality time with DH, etc. It is hard not to want to just scream, but with time it gets better..Glad you were able to not get too stressed. Seems like everyone I see is preggers these days! 5 people I work with are!! LOLOLOL Boy God has a sense of humor!! **end mentioned**

Svhiggins--Great numbers!! Soo excited for your Xfer next week! You will soon be in the 2ww.. Yay!

Babydream30--Yay!! for stimming!! My RE has me starting on lose dose stims also..I think that is the best way to go. I definitely do not want OHSS...

Jenelle--I start Menopur Friday..YIKES!! I am feeling nervous about the burn.. Follistim burns for me alot, actually, even the Lupropn is burning these days. I just do not have enough sub-q fat to work with. Any suggestions for ladies who are on the thinner side and have painful injections???

JKmommy08--Yay!! You should start stimming anyway now!!!

GoLauree--I have mixed emotions about HPT tests. In the end, however, I really think it is best to wait until Beta. I am going to try my hardest to wait. If you get a false negative, then your mood will change and you will feel down. I know all the ole wivestales say you have to stay positive during this time. Only happy thoughts. So, I would try to avoid HPT!

AFM--Today is day 3 of Lupron. It is burning and paining on injection now. Or, my DH, just sucks at giving it?? lol... I am dreading Friday Stims, just because of the burn I am anticipating with the Stims. I think I will get DH to call in script for EMLA cream today. Mask a little of the pain, at least. We use this cream at my work, on patients, and it does help with the "stick" at least... 2 days left of dear nuvaring! Yay!! Then it will be good ridden's!! 2 weeks till ET !!

What an amazing morning!!! Just came home from transfer, everything went superbly. Let me start from yesterday. So I got the call that of the 7 fertilized, that all 7 were growing and looked great. 6 were 4 cells and 1 was a 3 cell. I was beyond thrilled. So we go in this morning not knowing how they progressed. Well we left alittle early to beat traffic, well my doctor tried calling me which I didn't realize till we got to the office. He asks me and my husband to step out of the waiting room, so of course I'm freaking thinking that he has bad news. But no, all 7 were grade 1 eight cells, and wanted to see if we wanted to push them to blasts. I couldn't believe it, what a miracle. After much discussion with my dr and embryologist, we decided to transfer 2 today with assisted hatching and grow the other 5 for freezing. Transfer went so smoothly, now I'm home with my feet up. So I guess I'm PUPO. I am so thankful for the success in this cycle, knowing all to well how it is to have poor outcomes. Thanks for all the wishes, they really have seemed to help. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. I'll post a pic of the embryos if I'm able to figure it out the one of two we transferred was already compacting into a morula

Faith32~ i have heard of the trick to dig your nails into your flesh, so that is what you feel instead of the burn.

AFM~ day8 bw/us today went excellent! they drew my little trigger circle!!! 15 follies, waiting on confirmation phone call about bw, but ER looks like 8/2 Tuesday! woot woot

the other day when i went in for day 5 bw/us i saw this mom with a double stroller, rocking it back and forth. she had a coffee in her hand and just looked defeated... she looked up as i passed her with a stare that said, "they are sleeping, make a noise and i will kill you" lol. i was thinking, am i ready for that? can i be her? the answer is YES! let's do this! bring on the sleepless nights **end mention**
