Chakalaka and SeaTurtleGirl - I'll start stimming around the same time as both of you, so it will be nice to have cycle buddies.

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Nothing new with me - just a little cranky from BCP's, but that's usual for me.

    warning. BFP mentioned

Can I join in?? I cycled here before and loved the support of my cycle group! I was on long lupron/mid luteal last time (bcps, lupron, follistim, ovidrel) and got my BFP so we thought we'd just being doing the same thing again but my RE changed my orders to bcps/ganirelix/follistim&menopur with ovidrel to trigger. I admit. Im confused so any thoughts? I will say that every time i go on bcps is worse than ever. they make me feel sick if i take them in the a.m so i take them at night and hope i dont wake up. my DH will freely admit that im a witch with a b on bcp's let alone everything else!
if the side effects are too bad they usually switch me to another but i think im going to suck it up because, lets face it, they all do it (to me at least )

    Hi All,

I am going to join this thread, but I probably won't be posting as often as I did in the March group, when I did my first IVF. This time around I am trying to take a less focused approach, which for me will hopefully result in less anxiety (I tend to over analyze everything!). On the other hand, it was awesome to have the support and people to ask questions to on my first IVF cycle, so hopefully I can come here for FET questions as well (I know there is another FET board but I don't think I can keep up with two different threads ...)

    PREGNANCY MENTIONED

I am doing a FET cycle this time (I think several of you are as well?) after our first go round of IVF ended in a chemical pregnancy.

    END OF MENTION

Wackily, the one frozen blastocyst we had leftover last time is a better quality than the two blasts they put back (it was a day 5 procrastinator or something). Let's hope it survives the thaw ... Right now I am on Lupron, having just finished up BCPs. So hoping that this time is a charm as we are gearing up from a big move across the countryin mid-July and crossing my fingers that my early summer will not involve another fresh cycle.

I wish you all smooth sailing in your current IVF or FET cycles. Peace, Heather

Heather - We are in a very similar situation. I am doing a FET this May. If it doesn't work, I'll do fresh in July. We are also moving across country in July (from KS to west TX, but my RE is in DC!), so I really hope that I don't have to go back.

Hey ladies! So I am back from my injection training and it doesn't seem that bad. The needle is actually smaller then I thought. I am still having challenges with my meds since my RX insurance won't cover it and my health insurance will only reimburse me for 50% of it. I guess it's better then nothing but annoyed I have to pay out of pocket.

The doc seemed positive and wasn't too concerned with my MTHFR diagnosis. I also tested positive for some virus which is very common and he won't do the ET without it being gone. So I have another month for that to clear up so hopefully it will be gone by then. He said it's very common and most people don't even know they have it but of course I do. I am having all the luck in the world! At least my progesterone, LH and estradiol came back good today.

SeaTurtleGirl and christinefm - We are all moving forward at the same time. I can't believe we start stims in less then 2 weeks!

naybird222 - Oh that is great that your RE has been here and done that.

Jad - Welcome! Glad to see you cycling again. I think with all the emotions of this new cycle I am not surprised you are emotional. Good luck!

mactown - We can start you out in this group and if you need to move later, you can. Good luck with your cycle!

SeaTurtleGirl - Oh no! We need to get you back to zen! You will do great! I have a feeling that May group is going to be much like January.

    Pregnancy mentioned
Alexismith - Welcome! Your RE could change your protocal because he/she is having better success with something else. Also your numbers (hormones) could point him to the other protocol. I know I got pregnant with my first IVF, but miscarried at 9 weeks. With my second IVF (less then 6 months later) my RE added estrogen to my list of meds. I wasn't low before but he had better success that way.
    End mention

heatherfla - Welcome! Glad to see you cycling again! We will try to answer your FET questions as well but I have yet to go through it myself. Good luck!

Chakalaka - Glad your injection training went well! Prayers for your infection to clear up. Have fun on your vacation!

Has anyone used IVFMeds or another discount Pharmacy for their drugs? We lost our prescription coverage for fertility drugs January 1st. I have some meds left over but will need to buy some.

    - - I have used Freedom Fertility and I thought their prices were great. I compared with Costco and Wal-Mart. I hear Walgreen's Specialty is good too, but I didn't check them out.

    Hello ladies!

Welcome to the new ladies. Looks like this month is shaping up to be a busy one on this board-good luck to everyone!

    Preg mentioned----
Alexismith--I also had a bfp last cycle, but mine resulted in m/c. My RE is also switching up our protocol this time around by adding menopur. The thought is to try to get some better quality eggs and, thus, embryos. I'm on board for trying something different, even though I hate the idea of more meds, because although we got the bfp, it wasn't a healthy one. I hope the new protocols bring great things for us both!

    End preg mention------

Ladybugs-- did you get any answers from your doctor on the 'menopause'? Would the answer impact your ability to go forward with your FET next year? Hopefully not! Thinking of you...

Renee-- my RE also experienced infertility. I definitely think it makes a difference in the level of empathy and compassion she has for us and I'm thankful to have her!

AFM: 6 days of lupron down and hopefully not too much longer before I can start stims. Feeling good so far and hoping that continues! I'm not scheduled to go in for baseline bw/us until next week unless AF shows up early. I'm ready to get this show on the road!

svhiggins1: I was out of pocket 100% for my first IVF cycle and we ended up doing a combo of Freedom Fertility and Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy. My advice would be to price each of your meds with both of those (or other discount pharmacies) b/c we originally had placed the whole order with Freedom and they were out of stock on Ganirelix, so then I ordered it with Walgreens specialty pharmacy and for the heck of it priced all my meds there. I discovered that they had far lower prices for Menopur w/ Walgreens. Also you can price Follistim versus Gonal F b/c usually they have one that is far cheaper than the other with certain pharmacies. My doctor switched me from Follistim to Gonal F so I could take advantage of the cheap prices and a deal for a free Gonal F pen that they had going w/ Freedom in January. Also with Freedom if you do Gonal F do not forget to sign up for their program where if you do a second cycle you get a $250 coupon to use for more Gonal F. Finally, I would recommend if you go with Freedom that you ask about online coupon codes. I think I got $100 off my order that way.

Jad: Nice to know there is someone else in the crazy IVF + moving boat too. We are moving from FL to Wisconsin this summer.

    Have a great Tuesday everyone.
