Yesterday I check on the internet and I saw a lot of issue correlated with high DHEA.

    Hi Vesna

Although it’s been years since I last cycled, I also had high DHEAS. I cycled 4 times, and the values ranged from 369-551 – not as high as yours, but still way over the “normal average”. My RE was also not at all concerned, but by our 3rd fresh failure, I was concerned the high DHEA was having a negative effect on my eggs (we were both <30 and totally “unexplained”, but had really crappy quality embies).

Anyhow, both my RE’s also mentioned this was related to stress (sorry, but who the heck wouldn’t be stressed doing IVF cycle after cycle?!) and they treated it with a steroid – prednisone. And we ultimately did have success, so it apparently worked.

Good luck and try not to worry
    Meg

My DHEA-S was tested before my first IVF cycle and it was high - not as high as yours, but in the 300s. I was also told it is a stress hormone. I had to take dexamethasone during both of my IVF cycles because of it. My RE told me that high DHEA-S can interfere with how the body reacts to stims. Steroids suppress DHEA-S during an IVF cycle. My regular doctor didn't think it was a big deal.

Jilly,i did immune testing and they find that I have high DHEA 811,DHEA-S 450.I hope that the main reason is recently ivf cycle, because I did immune testing just 3 weeks after failed cycle. How are you?Thinking of you with all my heat, and thanks for the response
