And thanks for the congrats, everyone!! I am cautiously optimistic.

Rachell, my beta is Monday. It was supposed to be Tuesday, but they moved it up to accommodate our Christmas travel plans. I think my clinic does betas a little later than some. They typically do them 18 days past retrieval. I know a lot of places do them when you would be 14 days past retrieval (which for me would be tomorrow).

I've started feeling a little nauseated yesterday and today. I hope that's a good sign that the hcg is rising like it should be. I guess it could also be unrelated, but I pretty rarely get nauseated, and I don't feel sick otherwise.
Mon, that's right you already told me! Same day as my 1st, teaser beta. Youll definitely have clear results by then, Mon will only will be 12dpr for me. You'll be off for Christmas w/news! It'll be tough for all of us deciding how much to tell...I'll blab to everyone regardless because I'm a support seeker no matter what I'm going through. Congrats on the nausea! Lol everyone keeps asking how I feel and I say, too good! Bring on the symptoms! My new fav saying "we'll see!"

Congratulations!! Can't wait to hear your beta.

Tick tock tick tock...I have been so good this cycle about not dwelling and staying busy but NOW it is all I cant think about!!! I know I am going to POAS but I am just trying to decide when I want to. Last time I started 5dp5dt which would be Saturday but I am feeling anxious and ready...as we all are! :-) Maybe tomorrow?!? I guess if it is + it could be a sign of multiples bc last time on day 5 if showed - and then day 6 it was a faint + and that was a singleton. 7 days left until my beta...HURRY!!!
I would wait as long as you possibly can. I know it is hard but the longer you wait the better. I would REALLY try to wait till at least Sunday. Because even though you know that it might be too early, seeing the BFN is hard even though you know it is too early. I know I have been there and done that.

After a terrible start to the week, down to just two follicles, and the doctor telling me it would never get any better. I'm sitting here with ten follicles of which FIVE ARE GOOD ONES!!!

To comes from a place of such despair Monday to such hope today is amazing. I know others have 15+ follicles, but this is the best I've ever responded.

ER will probably be Saturday and I told them I didn't want to hear any details, but DH does, so he can get the call and just keep it to himself. If we get to the point of having frostbabies, then I'll ask for details. For now I have FIVE, maybe six beautiful eggs and that's all I need to know.

Guarded optimism feels so much better!
WOW!! That is great news!! Good luck tonight with your trigger and I can't wait to hear how you are feeling after Saturday.

I like how you phrase that, a "support seeker". I blab to everyone too and it has caused me trouble recently (church issues) however looking at it as I just need support is a much more positive way to look at it then I have been. Thank you for that!

    IVF cancelled

They cancelled my ET because our last emby stopped growing overnight. As if that wasn't bad enough what really burns me up is the way the nurse and my clinic handled it today. I'm venting now...She called and spoke to my DH (I was in the shower) & said the last emby stopped growing and for me to stop taking my meds, then call their office when my next period starts and they'll schedule and appt with the RE then to follow up.
My DH tried to ask her q's about when will we see him or what happens next and she said she wouldn't answer anymore questions, the RE will answer them and she said she had to go. That was it!
So I called her back & she said she left a msg with the RE to give us a call but who knows when that will be, and then it was like she just wanted to get off the phone with me and she said I gotta go again. It was a 30 second phone call. Ugh! They were all nice and supportive to take our money but when it didn't work they don't even want to talk to us.
It makes no sense for me to wait for my AF just to make a follow up appt when we already know it didn't work. They should schedule that appt now. It alls sounds kind of shady, but I hope my RE calls back today because it's bad enough already when nothing worked, but you'd think they would at least try to make you feel better and not worse by leaving you hanging at the holidays.

    Angelbaby-so sorry for your BFN

For everyone else still in the 2WW, I've still got my fingers crossed for you!

Moon that is not right! I would demand that this is resolved before the holidays. It isn't like it is that is too unreasonable. They have a week before the holiday starts! Surely the doctor could work overtime ONE night in the next week if need be.

If you do not hear from the RE by the end of the day, call every hour tomorrow till you get either an appointment or a conversation with the RE. However I may be a bit aggressive in this situation. I know my DH would probably have me camp out at their office till they spoke us if we were in your shoes.

I am so sorry they canceled your cycle like that. There are definitely questions that need some serious answers and I hope you get them all. Please keep us posted and GIANT

Angelbaby, my heart goes out to you dear

Moonbeam, I'm sorry I would be very angry to. You deserve some attention! As I like to keep saying, I'm no expert...but from what's been on here it seems like you've had a different type of experience than others when it comes to how they treated your eggs/embryos. I know each persons protocal is unique, and they RE is supposed to be the expert...I can't help but wonder why they didn't want to get your embryos back in sooner especially after the fert/icsi deal? You have to give it another shot!!! w/icsi & a 3dt (and maybe a new doc and/or embriologoist?) Forgive me if I'm saying too much (I do that sometimes!) I just would like to give them a piece of my mind on behalf of you and all of us!
    Take care

    *UPDATE* *Miscarriage Mentioned* *Warning LONG*

angel baby - i am so sorry for your negative cycle. it's really devastating news to get .

moonbeam - i'm so sorry about your cancelled cycle - to get so far and not be able to take the last step is so incredibly frustrating. and as if that wasn't bad enough, the nurse couldn't give you a few minutes of her time to answer some questions!

Unfortunately, I don't have good news to share. The short story is that I either had an early miscarriage/chemical pregnancy and my beta hasn't gone down yet OR I have an ectopic pregnancy.

The long story is: I have been cramping and bleeding heavily since yesterday. I went in for my beta today, which was 1800 (up from 105 last Friday). When I told them (again) that I was bleeding and cramping they told me to come in right away for an ultrasound. I cancelled my patient (who I was supposed to see in an hour) for "emergent medical reasons," dragged DH out of a meeting and rushed to the RE. There wasn't a sac - which they expect to see with a beta of 1800. Although they didn't see any sign of a pregnancy in my tubes they want to monitor my beta level to rule out ectopic.

Thankfully, I was able to meet with my RE for a lengthy amount of time and disscus plans for the immediate future. This is my third consecutive miscarriage and based on our fertilization rate my doctor thinks I have egg quality issues. I have had ALL of the recurrent miscarriage tests and except for recurrent polyps (which we've taken care of) there are no apparent issues.

We talked about PGD, and then he said that he thought our best bet would be donor eggs or donor embryos. I was SO not ready to hear this news. I'm only 28 - I can't believe this. Anyway, thanks ladies for being here through this process. I wish all the best to everyone here.
