thanks ladybugs. my RE thinks I should be ok b/c of the lupron trigger. I actually need to be on E2 patches because my E2 went down so much. I think I am the typical under 30, thin, PCOSer who overresponds to lose doses of FSH. So far I feel better than before ER, although I am super sore.

Now awaiting the fertilization report.

That is good that you will not have to worry about OHSS. However I hope you are feeling better now.

I went to the office again this morning. I learned that my estrogen level was 388 yesterday and hit almost 700 today. I think it needs to be over 1000 to stop stim. About to take day 7 of meds. I had 8 follicles on the left and 5 on the right, all between 11-17. Starting to feel super swollen! Not sure how many more days this will be.... I hope it's soon!

I would say you would have your ER in the next week. Sounds like you are doing good!

Update: I had my retrieval today and they transfered 1 great looking blast according to them. I wanted 2 but they were saying with my age and how good the blast is to just transfer one. Looks like all 12 fertilized survived to today so I'm waiting to hear on the remainding 11 to see if they are good enough to freeze. So I have 9 more days of the 2ww left and my beta should be dec. 6 please update me

So-Wednesday we had 16 follicles and full of hope.

Today was my next ultrasound and bloodwork. Nurse only saw 4 that were growing. Says that I am slow...and they moved my next appt.

Sigh, from hope to dashed hope.

Don't think you are out yet! There was a girl on here a few months back that thought she was only going to get 4 eggs and ended up with 5 and is now pregnant. So don't think it can't happen to you!

flon - sounds like things are progressing well - it feels awful to be so swollen though

onlyhope - congrats on the transfer - feel good - dec 6 is around the corner!

angelbaby - that's so frustrating - can they do anything to stimulate growth at this point in the process?

Update - transfer is tomorrow morning.
- At retrieval they got 40 eggs out of 60 follicles.
- They separated 10 eggs for ICSI and 30 for regular fertilization.
- Of the 10 ICSI eggs, 8 were mature and 6 fertilized and they look great
- Of the 30 non-ICSI eggs, 14 were mature and 5 fertilized, although one stopped growing.

I still feel awful physically - my stomach is so distended - I look at least 3 months pregnant. AND my SIL had a baby the day of my retrieval and I just can't be happy for them right now.

I'm thinking of all of you!

We all look pregnant going through this. Silly hormones. However congratulations on your 10 embabies!

Not sure really. I am so new to this process. This is my 7th day with injections and the four they had were measuring between 9-13. I was supposed to go on Monday for another ultrasound but they left me a voicemail to call and change it to Tuesday. So, I don't know. They told me my Estradiol was 745 and to be honest, I have no idea if that is good, bad or what have you. Sigh.

The likely want your eggs to mature a bit more and that is why the delay. Hope you get great news on Tuesday!

Anything special I can do to help this process?? Drink more water? Lol....reaching for all tips.

I am not sure you can do anything differently. Just pray and rest.

Here's my update: My E2 didn't move for three visits, which had them worried, but they upped the menopur and gonal f significantly (I started out at the lowest dose on an antagonist protocol), and it almost doubled. They said my ER will be moved back a couple of days. The follicles seem to be doing OK. They measured the 8 biggest ones (I have 41), and they were between 10 and 16. I started Cetrotide last night. Is anyone else on that? Is it giving you a big welt? Or maybe I'm just slightly allergic to it?

Wow! Congratulations! Was that a 3 or 5 day transfer? Sorry my days are running together now. Sounds like you will and are having a great cycle.

I have never been on Cetrotide but I am glad that you are moving forward now. How scary that you were not progressing before! I believe you can take benadryl in a cycle however I would ask your RE.

I am officially stimming now. Got my Follistim & menopur injection tonight. This shot was more uncomfortable than the Lupron injections I guess because there's much more fluid that's going in. I can do my Lupron shots easily but I'll let my hubby to these until I can work up the nerve to do them myself. I also have to start taking baby aspirins tonight too.
