JPS: Sounds to me like that negative RE is just worried about his success rates- not so much about you ever having a baby. So sorry you have to deal with someone like that. 5 follies is great for someone with diminished ovarian reserve. It sounds like you're about ready to trigger. I'd argue with them if they try to switch it to IUI. I'd demand to speak to the nice RE. You've come too far.

Barren: DH is thinking the same as you. If I get told we cannot go to retrieval he wants to talk today to my "assigned" RE. He thinks this is ridiculous and that their communication sucks. He thinks we should go to retrieval too. Clearly IUI is not working for us. We've done 2 of them already and one of those was a back to back.
I agree - getting the feeling they are worried about statistics. So frustrating.

that AF feeling....
I"m guessing that the prometrium is stopping AF from arriving but I'm really feeling crampy like it's coming. I haven't POAS'd yet - I'm 14 dp trigger, so probably 12dpo, and I figured that the earliest I would POAS would be tomorrow to be sure that the 14 day window for the large HCG trigger had happened. My boobs stopped hurting yesterday and I feel they've actually shrunk a bit, and my skin cleared up, so I would suggest all signs are neg. Anyone have any similar signs/symptoms to share with known outcomes? K |

kiellara: Hang in there! The 2ww just sucks. Hopefully these symptoms are related to the shot of HCG being out of your system finally. My face cleared up when the injected HCG came out of my system. The cramps could be late implantation - it does happen. Also, hilarious post about the AARP!

Golde: I am so sorry about your cycle. I am praying for your IUI.
JPS23: Negative doctors are awful! It seems a lot of the RE's I've encountered could really work on their bedside manner. To me, your follies sound fine. This guy really is a "Negative Nancy." I am sending good thoughts for your ET. CarleeLiz: Your husband sounds just like mine! How is everything going? Pye: Sending good thoughts for you on Friday. Try to stay positive! ![]() Jen79: Congrats on starting stims. Momsie, I am joining you in POAS and waiting for ovulation. Good luck with your bake sale! Kiellara: Thinking about you on your 2ww. Lady Mosely: Congrats on promising symptoms! Congratulations to everyone else with good news, and I'm sending good thoughts and prayers to everyone who needs them! |

Quick update ladies. I haven't had a chance to read all your updates as I got home a little while ago from ER so sorry about that.
ER went pretty well. Not nearly as bad as I was expecting. I feel like I have bad cramps. My doc has not much of a personality so trying to get any banter out of him is like pulling teeth. I asked him if my follicles were good and he said yeah fine. I said good "for forty"? He sort of chuckled and said he liked how I put 40 in air quotes. He always seemed to enjoy reminding me that I am 40. He said yeah good for 40. Went into the surg room and he was playing "Flirtin' with Disaster" by Molly Hatchet. He said the good thing about being 40 as that you know classic rock. Sadly I did know exactly the title/artist. I said that's a hell of a song to play for this procedure. He actually laughed and then I fell asleep to Pink Floyd. Hopefully he didn't blow a doob before the procedure. ![]() He got 15 eggs. I was very surprised. No clue on quality or anything else yet - just that there were 15. So that's the news I have for now. More tomorrow after I sleep some and get news on the fert. Rie |

Rie: Glad your ER went well!
Momsie: How did the bake sale go for the doggie treat biz you've started?! Update: Just got a call from my RE. Estrogen went to 547 so it did go up. Yay! Still not where I would like it to be but better than nothing. I am supposed to trigger tonight at 10:30pm with 10,000 units of HCG and am to stop all other meds. I go back in tomorrow at 9am for pre-op, BW, etc. Thanks for the support and all the thoughts. I have a feeling I am going to really need it this enxt couple of days!

Hey ladies, sorry I've been MIA.
My ER on Thursday didn't go so smoothly. I had a lot of bleeding and had to spend most of the day at the surgery center. I hardly remember anything. Woke up this morning in my bed and had to get all the info from DH and my mom. They didn't get nearly as many eggs as follicles (on Tuesday I had about 43 follicles, they only got 8 eggs). The RE thinks this is because my E2 fell so far there at the end. The good news is, he assured my husband before I was discharged that the embryologist had informed him all 8 were mature and very high quality. This morning the nurse called and advised we have SEVEN embryos! So at least the RE was right, and the eggs they got were good. I wish we had more to work with, but I am grateful we have gotten this far and hope our seven continue to grow. Hope everyone else is doing well, and we get some good news on this board in the coming days! We all really need it. It's been a tough couples of months for most of the Pumpkin Babes. I will keep you all posted!
