Any December 2009 cyclers out there?

It might seem a bit early for this, but are there any ladies (or gentlemen) out there that are going to be cycling in December? I would love to get a thread started!

I am currently waiting for AF so that I can start BCPs...let the fun begin!

Hi there, I am a fellow December cycler! I just found this board and saw your post.

We are expecting our egg retrieval and transfer to be the second week of December. I am currently on bcp and expect to start Lupron next Monday.

How are you holding up, I see you have been through this before.

DDRR -
WooHoo! I was beginning to think that I was the only one...

I will only be about five days behind you...assuming that I actually get the go-ahead to cycle in December. AF still hasn't shown (currently day 58) and I have to do some blood work tomorrow to determine if I am "supressed" enough to start all the BCP/Lupron fun! I am certainly hoping that I get to because I am sick of WAITING! I am a really patient person, but this infertility stuff seems like a never ending waiting game...

I will start a new thread on Wednesday (I have the day off!) and I will create a list like the other cycles have had. Hopefully there will be a couple more people joining us by then!

In the mean time, tell me your story.

The waiting really is the worst. I hope your bloodwork comes back great so you can get started again!!

About me, let's see…I am 32, DH is 41. We have been TTC for 2 years. The minute I went off bcps my cycles were wacky. At one point I went 5 months without AF. It was determined that I had mild PCOS.At that point I switched docs because my ob/gyn wasn't going to monitor or anything. The new doc sent DH for an SA and it wasn't great. Referred him to a urologist where it was determined he had a varicocele. That was last December. He had the varicocele repair surgery and then a follow up procedure but it didn't really improve numbers. Morph and motility are quite low and even the count is low.

So after months of waiting, discussing, etc we decided to go straight to IVF. we are 100% OOP so we chose not to waste anymore time and money on IUIs. We'll do IVF with ICSI for the first time. That's the story!

Do your friends/family know what you've been going through?

I'll be cycling in December as a gestational surrogate. I got AF on Sunday and started BCPs yesterday, as did our egg donor.

We should receive our cycle calendar today or tomorrow from the RE and are looking at a mid-December Retrieval/Transfer. My IF's are sooooo excited!!

I would love to hang with all of you and support you through your upcoming cycle.

Hugs,

Sirell

Yay! I am excited to have a "group" to "hang out" with during this exciting/nerve wracking time.

Where in California are you ladies located? It's funny that we would all be in the same state!

DDRR - Pretty much everyone close to me knows that we are going through IVF. I don't offer the information, but if someone asks, I tell. I think it is good for me to get things off of my chest every once in a while.
I also was diagnosed with mild PCOS. I have been on Metformin, but I still don't think I am ovulating on my own...but who really knows since I have been on so many controlled cycles lately.

Sirell - Wow! A surrogate times 6! You are amazing! We are going to consider a GS if this upcoming cycle fails. My best friend has offered her amazing services. I hope it does not come to that, but it is nice to know that she is there if I need her.

OK, I am going to start posting in a Dec Cyclers thread. If you can think of a fun name for us, let me know!
See you there!
