Hi there! I am also going to be cycling in December! This will be IVF#2 for me, and, during my first cycle, I was on a similar stimming protocol to the one that you will be using except that mine also included Bravelle. I ended up with a BFN from both my fresh and frozen cycle from that batch of eggs, but my doctor said that it definitely was not due to the egg quality, so I will likely use the same protocol this time around.
Let me know if you have any specific questions about the meds! We should start a Dec 2009 cycle thread! |

Hi Tapey, I think the reason my doctor is not using bravelle is because I used menopur before with my IUI's and a really good response with menopur alone. I am really hoping to have the procedure in december, apparently my re doesn't have his own lab they are renting space from another fertility clinic where they do their retrievals and transfers. That clinic is completely closed between christmas and new years, the concern is what if that would be my time and we've done all the stims and all that...so we'll see. RE said that it depends on when I get AF in november and that way they can calculate if we have enough time for a december procedure...I am hoping and praying that there is enough time.

Hope2b- Good luck with your timing issue! I am actually starting to worry myself if I will be able to cycle in Dec due to timing. I am currently waiting for AF and am on day 50! I think that in order to be "batched" with my RE's next cycle, I need to get AF sometime in the next 10 days. Funny thing...how many times can we say that we are hoping for our periods to show!

Tapey I know, we are usually praying for it not to start
. I actually got mine today, so will call RE tomorrow. I mean they told me that the earlier it starts the more chances I have to cycle in december, well it's november 1st doesn't get any earlier

I will call them tomorrow, my IVF nurse wasn't in today...I mean they told me that the earlier it starts the better my chances are, so how much earlier does it get than the 1st of the month

My protocol (which starts today!) is somewhat similar to yours:
Lupron 20 units per day Menupur, Follitism HCG ER 2 antibotics that I can't remember the name of right now ET Progestrone in Oil
