Would you exercise during 2ww ?

Hi everyone, this is my first post and I've discovered this forum a couple of days ago - the support you guys give to each other is great

Its my first IVF cycle and I am 8dpt/3dt and the 2ww is slowly slowly driving me nuts .... !! 50% from the uncertainty and 50% from the lack of physical activity. Have any of you been tempted to just do something ? I usually exercise 4 times a week, do triathlons and a complete addict of the lovely post exercise endorphins which I have been missing since I started on the stims (who can run with those enlarged ovaries ?). The crazy hormones plus the lack of positive exercise endorphins is giving me a double emotional whammy. Is anyone else going through the same thing ?

Btw I'm super tempted to pee on a stick, although hubby and logic tells me not to. Is 8dpt/3dt too early to show anything ? Also would progesterone shots also bring up a false positive ?

I did not exercise. There is something about being afraid to do anything to hurt the embryos. I know it is probably totally unreasonable, but that's just how I felt. Plus, some doctors recommend bed rest for several days.... anyway, good luck!

I forget how many days it takes for the shot to leave your body, so if you do decide to secretly pee on that stick now, if it is a negative, you'll know the shot is out.... so, I understand many women take an HTP early to see a negative to make sure they know that the shot is out...

*preg men'd*

I would think it'd be OK so long as you don't overdo it.

I'm not an avid exerciser, but I am active in my everyday job/life and I kept up with all of that during the TWW. You can always ask your Dr. if you're nervous about it.

As far as testing, I got a +HPT at 9dp3dt - 4 days before my beta - so it's worth a shot but don't be discouraged if it'd be negative. My + was followed by a high beta and finding out it's twins.

Progesterone shots would not bring up a false positive; only the HCG trigger shot would, which I think takes 10-12 days and *should* be out of your system by now.

Good luck!

I won't and never have. I'd say just do some light walking.

As far as testing. I'd wait. If you did test I'd start early so you can "see" the shot leaving your body. My body has tricked me too many times to test early. Once after a failed IUI, AF didn't come til a week late......thought I was + but wasn't.

You are almost there!! Good luck!

I didn't exercise during my 2ww's. It was really hard to just do nothing but it is definitely worth it. Especially with all of the time, emotions, and money you put into ivf. I just felt that if something were to happen I wouldn't be able to forgive myself.

Did you poas. I got + hpt 6dp5dt. As tdg119 said, progesterone will not give a false pos. When is your beta? Sending lots of babydust your way!!!

Thanks everyone for all your positive thoughts. Its been a roller coaster 2 weeks. I succumbed and poas at 10dp/2dt and got a + .. I was so excited I rushed down to the local GP and got a blood positive of 64 beta. Then I started reading on some forums that the pregnyl injections will give a false positive sometimes (I had a shot the day before ).

So ... to cut to the chase, I got a negative HPT the following day and the following day etc etc.. I am now 15dpo and nothing .... For some some unknown reason, my clinic does not do betas till 18 dpo, so I can't get a confirmation till then and this is really emotionally taxing. I'm hanging out on that slim hope that it is still possible but I'm pretty gutted.

For a treat, I decided to sneak out for a bike ride at 6am this morning (so hubby wouldn't find out). He caught me pumping my tires in the dark and gave me a lecture, but I went anyway. I've been super good during the 2ww it hasn't resulted in anything

I'm reading up all the stats where people get late betas, but its already 15dpo and I don't want to harbour any false hopes .
