Hi! Great minds...
We can keep yours! I'm not real computer "literate" (just figured out how to do the smileys like a big dork!) , but if you've got stuff going on, I don't mind. I got a little freaky tonight. Started menopur last night. Alll went well. Did my am shot today, just went to do pm shot, and all the powder in the vials looks hard like a tablet. So I ripped open ALL the packs I have and they all look like that. I did the shot anyhow. Should I call the pharmacy tomorrow? |

Greetings ladies
I've done my couple of days of microdose lupron, start the Follistim tomorrow (10/19), so I guess then i'm on 'stims'. I found that either the lupron or the antibiotics or coming off the BCP's has really sloooowed my digestion. Taking lots of fiber, liquids, fruit etc....dang, thought this wasn't meant to happen until the ER! ![]() Nasty headache Saturday too, but that was most likely due to the decrease in hormones from the BCP and AF arriving. Went mad in the grocery store today buying veggies. Made some wonderful kale and red pepper quiche, a heap of ratatouille and did a yummy stir fry for dinner. Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone in PUPO stage - wow there's a lot of gals there. Hope everyone has planned at least one thing for themselves on Monday - you all deserve it! K

Thanks Golde - It is nice to wake up to a fresh new thread! :-)
Smitty - I would take anything that looks out of the ordinary in to the pharmacy. I would read the product insert to see what it says regarding how it should/could look. Kiellara - You sound like quite the cook! Take it from me on the sluggish bowel situation...grab it by the horns! I would ask your RE if it is ok for you to add colace or something. Now that I am on that, I feel normal!!! BB - Have you called your doc? I hope you start feeling better soon!!! AFM - OK, so I scanned the internet for the 10 millionth time about POAS after a transfer and read that several people saw a VERY faint line 6dpt. Another thing that was mentioned was to let the HPT dry to see super early results. I then researched the HPT's that I got at the Dollar Store and found a site that had a grid of several tests and showed the amount of HCG that each would pick up. The site noted that the grid was based on what the manufacturers claimed, they hadn't tested them. The best news was that my Dollar Store HCP's were very sensitive, they "say" it can show levels as low as 20!!! When I finished my HPT research, I got the HPT's from 5dpt and 6dpt(I don't know why I kept them?!?). Day 5's was no line and Day 6 had the faintest line in the whole wide world!! Ofcourse I got a little excited bc I have NEVER seen any action on that side of a HPT!!! :-) I woke up at 3:30am bc I had to pee and decided to go ahead and POAS again so it would be dry when I woke up and it is a little darker than Day 6's!!! Also, when I wiped, there was some blood on my tp. My heart dropped thinking AF had started but after that one wipe, I haven't seen any other blood. Again, I know it is super early and my beta's on Wednesday and Friday will be the real answers but it sure has given me a little hope!!!

myreality - yay! That sounds like great news to me! I'm so excited for your beta on Wed!
afm - This morning is my morning to start Estradil. I'm glad it's a pill & not a shot! LOL! Only problem is that since this is my day off, I didn't set my alarm & ended up sleeping LATE... 9:15. Very late for me. Anyways, I have to take my Thyroid med. first thing in AM & then can't eat/drink/take anything for hour afterwards... so 15 mins until my first pill. I'm ready to get this show on the road! One thing for you to keep in your positive thoughts for me... I do my single shot Wed (instead of multiple Ganrilex shote) and it willl provide the mini-supression. So, I'm due for AF on Monday, but evidently this shot will bring it on... they said very possibly Thursday. So, here are the vibes I'm needing... I need it to wait until Friday!!! LOL! After my AF, I go on Day 2 for ultrasound & bloodwork... and my DH & I are planning a nice day trip with an early departure on Saturday... so if I get AF on Thurs, I have to go to hospital on Saturday for u/s & bloodwork so who knows when we'll get on the road & then I will start stims that evening... not really wanting to do shot in the car. LOL. So... if AF can come ANY day other than Thursday that would be good!!!!

Hi ladies! I hope you don't mind me joining in. I started bcp's on 10/15 and should begin Lupron on Nov 4. Then 10 days after that I should begin stimming with follistim.
Myreality- It sounds like you got bfp. I got bfp at 6dp with my fresh and frozen cycles so I think it's the real thing ![]() Goldelox- Thanks for sending me over this way! The chart looks great

Hey ladies, sorry for being absent. I've been keeping my head down and just running through this cycle in an attempt not to obsess about it--not working anyway.
I have been on Follistim / Menopur for a week and have 5 follies on one side and 1 on the other. I'm trying not to freak out about this, because with my past successful cycle I had 14 total, 11 mature, 5 fertilized, 4 transferred, one baby. If I start with only 6, where do I go from there? Why would my numbers go down so much? Could it be the difference between doing this at age 36 and now 38? See, I'm making myself nuts. Anyway, I can't get a clear idea of when my retrieval might be. I have an egg maturity issue, so I stim a bit longer than most women, but all the REs at my clinic give me a different answer--of course my RE is on vacation until Wednesday. I need to know so I can get a babysitter, but also, my husband wants to know if he should be abstaining. Or, if he needs to clear the pipes, so to speak. Anyone have an idea on this? If you knew your husband/partner/donor needed to give a sample on Thursday or Friday, would you have him clear things out on Monday or Tuesday and then abstain? Would you give it more time? Does it even matter? We called today to ask the RE, and that's when we found out he's away until Wed. Since my case is so touchy due to the maturity thing, we are a bit upset that he may not be following things as closely as last time, and what if a different doc makes the call and they're wrong? ARRRGGGG! |

Hope everyone is good, As for me first IVF cycle ended in a BFN...I was devastated but after a day or so of crying I feel much better and understand that it takes more than one try for many couples, I heard the 1st attempt is more about seeing how you react to the meds etc. (I was a good responder)I did just speak to my IVF nurse and she said that getting 20 mature eggs and 12 fertilize and having 2 of very good quality the day of transfer is very good but it takes couples an average of 3 cycles so we'll be starting #2 prob after the holidays as we're traveling etc.
I have to say though...as for the PIO, I got every pregnancy symptom even very veiny boobs at 6dp3dt and extreme nausea the day be4 my beta...next time I won't be relying on symptoms as they we're ALL from the PIO even the cramping. to mfcs, Jennyg, good luck to all you ladies and thanks for the support...I'll see you soon xx

Kiki,
So sorry to hear about your results. But, you have such a great perspective on things. It really is a learning curve, with each previous cycle informing the RE on what will work best for you. And, you sound like a great egg maker--which gives you a great advantage. I'm sure you'll get there with the next cycle. Best of luck, and take care of yourself. |
