i was wondering how many times everyone has done ivf to get i positive? did anyone get pg on the first try? we are about to start ivf in a couple of months and i was wondering how many times it took everyone to get pg with ivf?

well for me it took a while to find the RE right for me, but when I did get pg right away. see my signature for details.
good luck to you! what is your dx? that is real important to know to asses chances you know, but it is a matter of luck.

I did not get pregnant on my 1st IVF, (had OHSS) negative, but on the FET that followed was a success and I have a wonderful three year old son from that IVF harvest. Then I did a 2nd IVF in Nov 08, got my period from the beta. This time, my re was so cautious with the medication. I went into a FEt after xmas, and got pregnant and miscarried early. Now I am on my 3rd IVF, hoping for baby #2. However, in this process, I changed Re's, and the new one I am with is not going to do a fresh transfer. So he will retrieve and move me into a fet the following month.

There's not an option for me here--
ivf #1: BFN.
fet #1: BFP.
So it was "first ivf" in a sense, but it was the fet.
fwiw, I had three pg. before actually having a term baby. I had three m/c's along the way.

With TTC #2 we were not as lucky...third time was the charm

We were lucky and it worked the 1st time now we are going back to try for a 2nd.

TTC#2 was try #1!
So IVFs 3 & 4 were BFP.Stacie(37)
