Trinity, do you massage for few minutes and apply heating pads after the shots? It's working very well for me. I am also considering to give it a try and shot mysef a pio. Are you cramping after your tranfer? I calle dmy nurse todat and she said that it's normal to feel like PMS since I am doing the PIO and taking estadiol pills...also she said that my ovaries are getting back to normal, that causes cramping too.

monterio, i do massage, but i don't want to take chances and use heat anywhere near my little embryos. i'd rather not sit for 2 weeks. how is your 2ww going?
kim, you have a pretty tight schedule... lol glad your polyp isn't a problem.
alexi, i echo the welcoming of others. skip right around that blockage. i'm sure you have a real good chance of success.
andika, have a good trip... hope your doggie is doing better.
raven, you're a good egg, i mean, you have some good eggs growing there
sngray, crazy nurse you got there.... maybe you should call her more frequently and make friends with her. maybe she'll be nicer... kill her with kindness.
lisette, i only have one nurse where i go. thankfully i like everyone at my doc's office, all of which may add up to 7 people maybe. i'd have trouble dealing with too many different people.
sbing, i echo lisette... what happened to the 3???
linder...
sheisa, how are you feeling? if you have gained more than 5 pounds or can't fit your pants on, call the dr... my ovaries are still a little sensitive and i only had 6 eggs retrieved. you had 2 1/2 times that removed so maybe they are more sensative... hope you feel better.
i'm tired and feeling a bit silly tonight... still no ...
after reading up on novaril i have found that i could get a false positive... i guess time will tell. go to get b/w tomorrow. anyway, sleep time for me...
good luck everyone!!!

Hi Trinity, my nurse and all the rest of the stuff suggested to use some heat on the top of the buttock. That is very far from the uterus....but I totally understand your fear. I feel the same when I take showers every mornings

Alexi welcome!
Lady- I love your enthusiasm. It seems so pure, I am envious as mine is threaded with anxiety. I am going to try to take your cue.
Andika- have a good trip! I hope your dog is healthier by now...
Linder- when I was preg I had implantation spotting for 2 days. I hope this is what you are experiencing. I'm crossing my fingers for you!
Sheisa and Trinity, sorry you guys are in pain. Hope it subsides soon.
Thanks to those of you who sympathized that my RE was being a pain. I contacted my previous RE (who did the IUIs) and asked her- a nice nice doctor that I miss!- and she is going to remove the polyp and do a pap for me on Friday. And, the nurse ordered my meds so I should be on track with all that-yeah! And, no CF in my genetics so no PGD for us!
I am feeling moody on the pill! Grr!
Take care ladies!

well my dog is finally a bit better-had some steak for breakfast.
we are expats in tanzania (east africa), but there is no ivf here, so I always travel to israel for ivf. that is one of the reasons this will be my last ivf as I cant take all this traveling anymore-I used to spend 2 months alone in israel, and then came back a couple of months, and then again-for years until finally I had DS. now I have done 1 IVf in israel , and 1 in south africa (which was nice with less traveling) and this is my 3rd try for number 2.
alexi-welcome!
sngray-do you have pco? I think your nurse is so ridiculous-how can they know if you will have ohss? there is no way of knowing that!
sbing-why didnt you have ET? I mean 3 isnt much but it can still make triplets!
bebe-hope the polyp removal goes smoothly and you can go on with the cycle! a ffriend of mine had her polyp removed, and then got pg with twins!
trinity-your bum is far from your uterus! you can heat it and massage it and your embies will be just fine! you have the typical fears of a 1st timer! you know I used to follow instructions by the letter, and kept getting bfns, then I said to myself hey gotta keep on living, so I said f*** the rules, lived my life and got a bfp on the next try! I am not saying dont try everything, but dont stress, if its a good embies it will stick even if you jump up and down all day !

Andika- I know all that travel has been a pain, but it sounds like fun to go to all those places! I'm glad your dog is feeling better. I do have PCOS, I don't know if the nurse is basing it on that or not. I had 9 follies with a low dose of Gonal F for IUI, so I think she may be getting it from that? Of course, she doesn't seem to notice that I still didn't get pg!!
Trinity- you can safely do heat through out your pg, as long as you don't do a heating pad, or do it for a short time. I have one of those pillow things filled with rice that you warm up in the microwave. They cool off while they are on your body, so you never get overheated. Use one of those if you are worried. I've known my nurse for 7 years, I don't think she is going to warm up to me!
Bebe- good luck with the polyp!
I did my 1st Lupron last night. Dh did a great job and I didn't even feel it. I haven't turned into Mr. Hyde (yet) so that's good!! I did have wild dreams last night though!

I'm so glad to have found such a cheerful and supportive group. Thankyou all and please know that i keep each of you in my thoughts as we walk this path.
Andika:- I'm glad your dog is finally eating... IF made me break out in pets and I am always beside myself when they are ill. I've never been to Tanzania, do you like living there? As an ExPat I've had an interesting adjustment and England to the U.S isn't exactly a leap comparitively. Thankyou for being a relaxed voice of reason... I'm trying to be as relaxed and 'normal' as I can.
Does anyone have any suggestions to deal with the hot flashes...? the Lupron headache finally subsided but i swear steam will come out of my ears in a minute.
I'm antsy to start stims.. my Nurse told me that the combo of lower dose Lupron and adding Follistim would help ease some of the side affects.. what have you ladies found?
Is anyone here trying any alternative therapies? special diets? I'm instiably curious about everything lol
Hugs, positive thoughts and babydust to all
Alexi

Alexi, my mom says wearing layers is the best thing you can do for hot flashes. I don't know if there is anything you can do to make them go away. There is a sticky link at the top of the forum about the IVF diet. I am going to try it once I start stims. I have a friend who swears by acupuncture. I've also stopped all caffeine, which was a huge deal for me.

ET is tomorrow. Not looking forward to it. WE have 9 fertilized out of 14 mature. But I am still in pain from the ER. Getting better every day but still (another procedure).
Started PIO shots, Medrol, Tetracycline and Vivelle Patches.
