Anyone feel negative during wait but still get BFP?

I just transferred yesterday but was really bummed by the fact that my embies went down from 14 retrieved to 2 blasts in the end..They were only able to put 1 back because of how I carried my son and I am now waiting to hear of the fate of the other...I am just so mumphy this time...I even worry about going #2..I had a 6 day transfer and my grade was 2ab..I just don't know what to think...The clinic says their top grade is a 1aa..I would just be good to know that others felt like it didn't work when it did..

I felt nothing during my 2WW until literally the day before my scheduled Beta, and got a positive with a really high number. You can't tell anything until the very end of the 2WW, or until the beta sometimes. Good luck! I never had an embryo rated that high.

I felt very negative and stressful during 2ww. I cried a lot. I had only one embie and did a 2-day transfer. I thought it would fail.

On my first IVF, we transferred one 5 day blast. I felt nothing during my 2ww. I did an HPT on 14 days after retrieval - BFN...two days later, I started to bleed red...two hours after I started to bleed, I got the call from the clinic about my beta. BFP! DD born 7/07

jam - I have a similar scenario to yours this cycle. We retrieved 14 eggs. 9 were mature, and of those, 8 fertilized normally. Our RE recommended a 3 day transfer, so we transferred 3 embies (1 - 7 cell & 2 - 6 cells). I found out yesterday that none of our other 5 embryos even made it to freeze. Can't tell you how bummed I was, and to top it all off, I have been feeling like AF is going to come any minute and my beta isn't scheduled until Halloween.

Anyway, I woke up in the middle of the night last night because I was so upset about the whole thing, and I sort of had an epiphany. Everything is going to be all right. I can't control any of this, and I have to do what I can't stand to do - let go. I know it sounds cliched, but I do believe that so much of this is out of our control and we just have to let go.

The good news for you is that you have already had a pregnancy and you transferred a blast!! I have a very good feeling that everything is going to work out just fine this cycle. Know that I am thinking of you and sending you all sorts of positive energy.

It's nice to read everyone else's posts.

Me: 29
Husband: 33

My first IVF was in August and failed. They retrieved 23 eggs, 17 were mature, and 14 fertilized. We went in for a day 5 transfer and there was only one left. The quality of it wasn't very good either. Talk about getting hit by a bus. Needless to say I got a BFN.

On 10/20/08 I just had a day 3 transfer. They retrieved 18 eggs, 13 were mature, and 13 fertilized. Once again after a few days in the lab, they did not look very good. The embryologist flat out told us, she has no indication of what is going on because the eggs and sperm both "looked good." They ended up transferring 3, 2-6 cell embryos and 1-4 cell embryo. I am waiting for my pregnancy test on November 3rd.

The only thing they have found wrong with us was my husbands morphology which has improved from 3% to 8%.

We thought we had chosen the best fertility center in Chicago, but now we are left wondering. Is somehow the lab having an impact on our embryos or are we genetically predestined to not be able to hve children even with the help of science?

Janelle - I am in chicago also - If you don't mind my asking what center are you using? I use RGI.

I had 10 eggs retrieved, 9 mature, and only 1 to transfer and mine wasn't very good either (would have had two but one had chromosomal problems). I am suppose to have my beta tomorrow but AF is already here - not good

janelle and sdeutcshle - I am in Chicago as well. I go to FCI in Highland Park. As I mentioned below, we had 14 eggs retrieved on October 15th, and of those, 9 were mature and 8 fertilized normally. We transferred a 7 cell and 2 6 cells on day 3, and none of the other embryos made it to freeze. My beta isn't until October 31st, and I am already freaking out that it didn't work since I am feeling crampy like my AF is coming. We did one other IVF in July with two perfect embies (9 and 8 cells), and we got a BFN. Would love some reassurance.

I go to FCI Highland Park as well! We may have crossed paths in the office at some point this cycle? I would love some reassurance as well with all of this, but it just is hard to find. I don't know if I should consider a new center if this doesn't work for the second time? I don't mean to be negative, but its getting increasingly difficult not to be. I want to read of someone's recent success!

sdeutschle, I am so sorry to hear that your AF is hear, I know the feeling. Hang in there!
