Question BFP, but pink spotting on 8dp3dt?

Hi everyone,

It's hard to be excited because I think something is wrong, again.
I had three days of BFP's on HPT's. My OHSS has started to flair-up again and I assume it's because of the "new" HCG in my system.

Thing is, I wiped this morning and got pink blood w/ a string of red.
I keep wiping and keep getting pink watering blood. It's not brown.
I think it's watery from the prog sup from the night before.
Unfortunately, this exact thing happened to me a year and a half ago which didn't end well.

I need some honest input.
I think I'm 8dp3dt (retrieval on 10-11, transfer on 10-14).
What could be happening? It can't be implantation bleeding if my HPT's are positive already and it's pink blood, right?

Preg & child metd

Hi fetch. I'm sorry this is just like what happened last time. I can speak from experience that it could simply be the little one burrowing in deeper, or could be cervix irritation from the suppositories. My BFP came with a bright red bleed at 8dp3dt. That little guy is a toddler now.

I did get a trigger shot, yes. It was at least 14 days ago, so it's out of my system. I did two POAS two days in a row to get bfn before getting bfp.

Unfortunately, that's not a possibility for us. We haven't "done" anything since before I started this cycle out of paranoia that it could ruin it, (we use donor sperm).

Somedaymom - thank you so much for the reassurance.
I'm hoping that is all it is.
I have a 3yr old and I did spot with him very early on, but it was around the time of implantation -- before I got a bfp on a hpt.

Do you think that because I got a bfp and I'm spotting pink, that it would warrant a call to my clinic, or just wait because it's too early to test and nothing they could do at this point anyway, no?

Then I would rather go to the RE. I managed to get bfp once and everybody used to tell me that pregnancy is not a sickness when I would feel something is not right. I had a slight discharge and I thought to myself. Pregnancy is not a sickness so I left it there. The next morning when I woke up I was bleeding. I was rushed to hospital but I left it for too long. I lost my baby. So if you don't feel comfortable with the bleeding, then go to the RE asap. Don't leave it.

it can still be implantation spotting even though you already have positives. I think it is more likely irritation from progesterone suppositories...

I would call the clinic and let them know you've been testing positive and ask if you can come in for an early beta...at the very least they will say something that will make you feel better and may indeed let you come in early.

I'd watch the ohss very carefully...weigh yourself everyday...with a pregnancy this could get a lot worse and you may need advice from your docs if it does.

So many people spot in early pregnancy. I understand that with a history things really can freak you out. Call your doc...I did last cycle when I was afraid and they let ms come in early.best wishes!

Thanks.

My clinic called me back and said that if I were bleeding, there isn't anything they can do. I can come in for my beta a few days early (sunday being the earliest which would be 12dp3dt). As for my OHSS, she said to call whenever I think I need them to access me and go in right away.
I honestly look like I'm at least 4mo pg. The bloating is horrible and the pressure and some pain doesn't help. It's not as bad yet as it has been in the past, but I'm SICK of drinking Gatorade.

I hate that I've now seen that BFP on my HPT's, yet, I can't even enjoy it.
I guess, if it's at all possible that this pg works out, I would welcome all the pain and misery just to have that little baby in my arms.

Hi Fetch - I read yesterday that when a baby implants, some people will bleed for a few days. Just take it easy and rest. Try to lie down as much as possible, just in-case. Good Luck
