ER Today...I am so nervous

Hi Ladies,

I am on my way for my egg retrieval. I am so nervous and excited. My last cycle was canceled due to poor response. This cycle she hopes to get 4-6 eggs -- still low but I am going for quality over quantity. I did not sleep a wink last night and I am dying of thirst.

THank you for listening -- have a great weekend.

ER is usually pretty easy. The worst part is the IV. Try to relax and enjoy the "sleep."

Hi Ladies,

I thank you for the good luck. THe ER was not that bad. Well they only got 2 eggs. The right ovary which had 4 follicles only had liquid in them -- no eggs. What does this mean? I was a little bit too groggy to ask for more details -- I am not sure if the egg ovulated too soon or was it truly an empty follicle. Has this happened to anyone?

THat was the first thing I asked -- how many eggs and I heard two and I just started crying. The doctor said we only need one and that the eggs were mature and DH had some good swimmers. So we shall see tomorrow. I was just hoping we will have a little more to work with.

I feel a little sore and tired. So I am going just to relax and take it easy.

Thanks again ladies
