What would you do?

Hi Everyone...Havent been on this site for ages and glad I am back, so hello. I'm catching up reading everything so cant wait to pop in more frequently.I need help!! I am at a very low point. My partner and I are mid 30's, I have 1 tube and its blocked. Started IVF Aug 06. We did 1 fresh cycle and had 1 embryo transferred. BFN. We then had our 5 left over frosties transferred (all great quality) at different times over 2007 as only a 1 single embryo transfer at a time, still all BFN's. My doc (QFG Brisbane) then conducted a laprascopy and found/fixed some endemetriosis and everything else looked normal. We got the ok to proceed to another fresh cycle. I've just finished my 2ww and another BFN. We had a fresh single blastocyt transferred. I have 4 blastocysts left in the freezer. Due to my other health problems, I can only ever have 1 embryo transferred at a time. But..WHAT THE BLOODY HELL IS WRONG WITH ME? Why wont they implant? Its my 6th BFN. I am aware its only 1 single embryo getting put it at a time, thus probably making it harder to achieve a BFP - but in my shoes, what would you do now. Is it really a numbers game or would you be asking to have further bloodtests to check thyroid & the immune system? Is this possible? I've had basic thyroid test done and it was normal, 2 years ago. I really have the best doc at QFG and we are happy with him. I feel helpless that my body is rejecting the embryo's, one after the other. My lining is always good, embryo's always very good, hormones always good, etc. Your thoughts on my next move or what to ask or request from my IVF doc would be so ever much appreciated. Merrikins.

I know nothing about endo but after all you've been through, are you sure it isn't back?

I had a friend on another TTC board who tried forever and finally got her BFP the month AFTER having the endo removed.

You might want to ask about that.

Merrikins, I'll start by saying I LOVE your country! I have been close to your fair city - I've been to the Gold Coast. I've also been to Port Douglas, Cairns, Sydney, and Melbourne!

I would think the IVF could surpass the endo. Are you sure that you are at a good clinic with good success rates? A clinic is only as good as the lab and the culture medium.

I do worry a tad about your blocked tube. Is it removed or cauterized? Are you positive it's not filled with fluid? (hydro tube) A hydro tube can prevent an embie from ever implanting.

My next move would be making sure that tube isn't hydro, and I would seek a second opinion if possible. Even if you just stay with the same clinic. I know you've had 6 BFNs, but just two of those are fresh, right? The frozen ones usually have a much lower chance of success. And if you are transferring just one at a time? Well, I wouldn't say it's too awful crazy that none have implanted yet. I hope it is just a matter or time for you.

Welcome to the board!!!
