Crystal Light

This may have been asked but does anyone know if it is okay to drink Crystal Light? I love the Cherry Pomegranate on the go packets but I think I read somewhere that they weren't good to drink when doing IVF b/c of the aspartame. Any idea?

Yeah, I've always thought artificial sweeteners were a no-no. Splenda, too.

Drink some real pomegranite juice instead! It's delicious!

well, in general aspartame isn't good for you. I wasn't told anything like that though. You may want to check with your RE.

I saw that Splenda makes 'on the go' packs for water too.. maybe you could check them out.

Aspartame is in a LOT of things we drink, so you probably are okay.. but again, check with your RE to be sure.

We use Splenda for everything. RE said it's fine. DH can't have refined sugar, and neither of us can stand Sweet-n-low or equal. I think no matter what there will alwaqys be a debate over whats good and whats not good.

I agree. I gave it ALL up when I started stims!

I use these mixes all the time and was a little worried. I actually just heard the other day that aspartame, isn't as bad for you as it was once believed to be

I'm not stimming though. I may cut back on it when the times comes.

I wish I liked plain water. I'll have to start. I thought the real pomegranate juice was really sweet. When I was ttc 6 years ago, I lived on the Disney juice Apple/Pear or Apple Grape (it was the one with Winnie the Pooh on it) but they don't make it anymore and I can't seem to find a juice I like.

I am a Coke addict...I love it first thing in the morning. And I have slowly been weaning myself...and now I am out

. So now that I am on stims I have bought Hansens Natural Cane Sugar soda. There are only 4-5 ingredients and none of them are artificial sweetners. I know it isn't ideal, but I too hate water. I also bought these little packets called "True Lemon". When I drink water I put them in it...it makes it better. It says on it "100% natural ingredients, no artificial sweetners". HTH.

Well, I for one wish i had the will to give up everything. but when you think about it, there's so much you would have to give up.. You would have to start cooking Raw Meals (look it up, its a vegan thing) and all natural and organic, and really, with all the stress we are already under.. i think a little splenda in my de-caf pop is fine, or sweetner in my drink.

JMO. I really think if it was a major concern our RE would tell us.

Rachel, that does help. I, too am a Coke addict! I am down to half a can a day and I miss it. Do those lemon packets make it taste like real lemon water?
