To mix follistim and menopur or take separate shots?

Hi ladies,

I am about to start (in about 4 days) Follistim injections twice a day and Menopur at night. My RE said I can mixed the two (showed me and DH how). I read that Menopur burns. Is it better to mix the two and get it over with in one shot or do a separate injection?

I was on Follistim and Menopur, and I did mix the 2 of them. My nurse suggested it that way. I say...if you can get it done in 1 shot...why not?

Good luck!

I always mix them, I dial up my gonal f pen and inject the gonal f into the repronex or menopur vial and then draw both into a syringe to spare myself an additional shot in the tummy. This was actually good advice from my RE(to mix the 2).

Best, bebe

I would mix them because the menopur shot is going to burn anyway so you won't be able to avoid it..might as well get it over with in one shot Good luck!

Last time my RE's nurse told me not to mix them. But I have heard so many say that they did mix them! That's it...I am going to be a rebel next time and mix 'em all up!!!
