Dumb question but worried...
Okay, this may sound really dumb, I'm really worried that some mild cramping I am having might expel my embryos. I am having ET tomorrow morning and I'm scared I might lose them/they might fall out if I cramp. The cramps are mild ones left over from a rough ER. Anyone ever ask your RE about this?

No, I promise you, you won't expel your embryo's!! Once they're transferred to you, they're not going anywhere.
This is how it was explained to me when I first cycled. They told me to think of my uterus as being covered with peanut butter & that my embryo's were little chocolate chips. If you put the chips on the peanut butter, they won't come off. They sorta stick. When I did my 2nd cycle, I couldn't stop sneezing! I was soooooo freaked out that I would sneeze my little ones that I actually called the nurse to ask her again! She reassured me that they wouldn't go anywhere & they didn't! That was my first successful cycle & it started with twins. Its hard to ignore the things that you're feeling when you're oging through all this, but hang in there! You're not alone in those feelings/fears & you can absolutely have success with it! BTW, cramping can be completely normal after you have your retrieval/transfer because the uterus & ovaries have been through a lot! ![]() I hope your transfer went well this morning!! ![]() Karen

I had mild cramping all throughout my 2WW and I still had a bfp. Don't worry about the cramping, usually it's just your body adjusting to the embies and getting past the fact that you produced so many eggs! Your body has just been through a trauma with all of this and has a hard time adjusting to it all. I had mild cramping off and on until I was 6 weeks. So, don't worry.
That said, DH and I were worried about bding, because he was afraid he would knock them out. lol |

All that talk of peanut butter and chocolate is making me feel hungry!!!
I used to worry about sneezing and coughing shaking up the embies so its not a dumb question.....I bet many ladies have been wanting to ask the same thing! Hope you feel more comfortable and good luck with your cycle!

My IVF nurse compared the embies to ticks (ew). That they would burrow down. I wish she'd used a happier metaphor, but I got her point: they don't slip out or get sneezed out, etc. It's not a silly question!
