Help~ instructions for Prog. suppository!!

Hi. I am starting progesterone suppositories tomorrow night, but I didn't get instructions on how to use them. How do you put them in & how long do they stay in? Do I lay still for awhile after putting it in? Any advice would be a lot of help. Thanks.
Hugs~
KC

I used prometrium vaginally. It is really just a matter of washing your hands and sticking them up there! Some stuff does tend to leak out, so I aways try to push them up as far as possible. You don't have to lie down after, but I found when I used them before bed, I had less leakage then if I put them in before work. Wear a mini-pad of some sort, if what you are using is oil based, it can get messy.

Good Luck with your 2ww!

TMI Warning...

Hi KC,
I've been on them since my transfer - I do it right when I go to bed as my RE asked me to lay down and not move around for about an hour. Lay a towel on your bed, lie down and then slide it in. I keep my knees bent for the first 10 mins or so - the suppositories start to be absorbed almost right away and you can feel it turn into liquid.

Let me know if you have any other questions...

I am have been on them since the day after ER, 3x a day. They actually gave me a 'tool' similiar to a tampon. That's not the most comfortable thing either. Like Lisa said...make sure you wear a liner or something....

Good Luck!

Here is a link about Crinone:

http://www.ivf1.com/Crinone-8-/

I use it before I go to bed so it doesn't get nasty. No need for pads.

HTH,

CS
