Ladies, I have not posted much, but I just completed my first IVF cycle. I am 11dp3dt. I took an HPT this morning and got a BFP, but it was pretty faint. I used a test that detects 25mIU and up. My beta is not until Friday and I am going crazy here. Am I pregnant??? Can I trust an HPt??? Has anybody ever heard of anybody getting a positive, but not on their beta???
PLEASE HELP!!!!

It's very rare to have a false-positive HPT . . . so CONGRATULATIONS!! You're pregnant! Good luck with your beta on Friday-

It sure looks promising, kgwife. But you have to take ALL HPT results with a grain of salt. Certainly not to say this will happen to you, but I want to let you know what has happened to some women on this board. They take the hpt, and get a positive, and then they start to celebrate. Only to find out that it was a chemical pregnancy (the beta starts to rise, and then tapers off and eventually goes back to zero). So, I would say to be cautiously optimistic! But there is definitely some hcg in your system, and not from a shot either!
