Activity Question
Anyone do any walking during the 2ww? Just curious b/c dh and I usually walk the dogs around the hood in the evening and I have been avoiding it b/c of all the warning about not doing any housework, grocery shopping, mall shopping. Can't decide if the warnings are d/c lifting or walking

Personally, I wouldn't do it. You could get your body temperature up too much for the little ones. Probably not, unless you're doing some vigorous walking, but still, I personally wouldn't do it. I wouldn't want to give myself ANY reason to wonder "what if".
Good luck!! BTW, when's your beta? Karen

My RE told me bedrest when I got home after the transfer until the next morning, and then 2 days of sitting on the couch (i.e. "light activity"). There were no restrictions beyond that except not to lift heavy items.
I would think it's OK as long as it's not too strenuous -- maybe just walk a little shorter distance than usual at a little slower pace. Unless you feel crampy, then I'm all for feet up and watch DVDs!! But I know some REs don't even put patients on any kind of rest at all, and obviously people who get pregnant the normal way don't seem to suffer any ill effects... I think the embryos are pretty safe in there. |

My RE told me no "strenuous exercise" during the 2ww, like jogging or aerobics or jumping. Or heavy lifting. Walking is fine.
I think a nice walk with the dogs sounds great! JC
