Hi everyone! I hope everyone is having a good holiday. We have been very busy -so I just haven't had time to post. But I'm always thinking about everyone!
Beth-I've heard lots of stories of people being late "growers" and end up with lots of follies near the end. I hope you end up with just the right number for you!
Jackie- my e2 was high this time too. I'm already forgetting the numbers but it was 63? They kept me on lupron longer checked again and it was65(?). They did another u/s and said it was ok and started stims anyway. I'm hoping for you!!
Amy- Your the first to the 2ww!!! That means you will be the first BFP!!!
Momo5-I've only been on progesterone suppositories and calling them sloppy is just right! If I get a choice again I'll do the shots. I hope the estrogen ones aren't as bad!
Anne 2- I'm sooo sorry you had to go threw that! Some people are just insensitive jerks! Other RE patients are supposed to know better!!!
Gatorsteph-Good luck in August! We hope you will still visit us!
My update- things are really moving now!!! I had u/s and e2 on Saturday and they counted 16 folliesMy hcg was last night and er is tomorrow(7-5) with ET Saturday(7-8) and beta Friday 7-21!!!!!!! This cycle has ended up being alot different from last round-but I got a bfn last time so I'm hoping all the changes will bring a bfp this time!!!
Oh, and a weird side note- last ivf my aunt died 3 days before er. This ivf one of my uncles died 2 days before er! I really hope this is my last ivf- they seem to be bad luck for my extended family. But I'm trying not to let it get me down. I'm really hopefull about this cycle!

Apryl - sorry to hear about the death of your relatives. Maybe you'll have b/g twins in the memory of your aunt and uncle. =) Good luck on ER tomorrow!!! Please let us know how many they get and how it goes!
About the folks who take their child(ren) to the RE's office - I agree it's terribly insensitive. DP and I always talk about how no matter what, we will get a baby sitter if we need to go into the office and have a child already. It's just so wrong to take them in there. Some people are just so clueless.

Hi everyone! Wow, I've been out of the loop less than a week and so much to catch up on.
Steph- sounds like you've been through a LOT this past week, but things are going well now. Your comment about the t-shirt cracked me up
Anne- that must have been tough in the waiting room. I've been particularly sensitive to comments from 'friends' since I've been on IVF- like, 'YES, we have considered having kids, in fact I'm sticking needles in my tummy every day so we can have kids...'. But someone who's been through it should know better.
Apryl- nice follie count- lets get them fertilized and in you! I'm so sorry to hear about your uncle.
I'll catch up more and write more later. For me, AF came and she was out for the kill. Haven't had such bad cramps since I was in high school. Otherwise, I've had no symptoms on lupron, and actually feel great.
Happy 4th all!

travelling with meds
Hey, this is probably totally obvious to everyone on here, but since I almost missed it, I just wanted to remind you that if you're travelling by air, you should pack your meds in your carry-on, and have a letter with you from your RE saying you need to carry needles. I didn't get asked about mine on a recent trip, which I thought was odd, but I was glad to have the letter.

Thanks everyone for all your supportive comments.. I know she didn't mean to be insensitive but, come on..
I agree with all of you comments about not bringing children to the clinic.. I think it is just awful.. Why don't people understand that it is so disheartening for those of us that are having difficulty trying to conceive to have a baby sitting there.. I don't even care if they tell me this is proof that it works.. Get a babysitter to take care of them..
Anyways... I have another apt. tomorrow and hoping that there are no preg. women or babies in the waiting area. I will let you know how things go. Hoping for lots of growth of the follies.

Hi guys,
My last day for BCP's is 07/06, and I am supposed to start Gonal 07/08. From everything I read this different. I see that most of your girls are doing lupron. This is my first attempt at IVF. ADVICE NEEDED.........What is the difference with the Lupron/Gonal proticol?

Hey Twinklet, Welcome we started Lupron on the same day.
Anne-Sorry about your RE visit, what a dingbat!
Apryl-Good luck with ER
Amy-Best of luck for your 2WW
Momo-There aren't any suppositories in my bag o' meds but who knows what RE will add down the line. As for the Lupron only effect was being tired.
Gatorstepp-Sounds like a plan, very exciting1
MY baseline's tomorrow, we'll see if I'm moving to stims.Amy 28

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a good 4th ( I know some of you all are Canadians- but happy 4th anyhow). Nothing new with me- just taking hte lupron still. Sounds like things are moving along well for everyone.
Anne2- It never ceases to amaze me how insenstive people can be about infertility but the one group that should be so understanding are others who have been through it. So your stroy shocks me- of all people they should know what to say and not to say- especially in the waiting room of an IF clinic of all places!!! Some poeple are just completely clueless! And I completely agree about the children! I think these clinics should have a policy that you must come without your babies/children to the office. It is such a sensitive time for all the patients.
Ann40- welcome! I may start stims the same day as you but I have to wait to hear how my blood work goes on Friday.
CM- good luck with your basline work!

Hi ladies, I haven't checked in for a while but hope everyone had a great weekend and 4th!
I finally started stims last night
GanolF & menopur. I got back tomorrow for b/w unfortunately this means that I had to cancel my trip to the beach wed-fri, that my husband and I were soooo looking forward to, but that is OK....we are going to try and go down after the bw on thursday.
Beth- I am a poor responder too, but hopefully they can get more follies to grow and if not don't worry they only need 1!!!!!
Anne- I would have burst into tears at that girl, people are so insensitive it is crazy! I think there should be a sign with a list of rules in the waiting room like there is in the gym (please only use the equipment for 20 minutes .....please refrain from complete lack of courtesy to those doing everything in their power to get pg)
Jackie- Any update on your levels yet? Hopefully you can start stimming tomorrow
Apryl- congrats on 16 follies
that is wonderful!!!! You are moving right along.
Did anyone/ or is anyone using cetrotide? I am supposed to use that this cycle and have never used it before....just curious!
Michelle
