wow! we do have quite a list... we should do some sort of roll call... yeah, maybe I'll get around to it... someday...

I'm having the opposite reaction from people that I told... I pretty much told the world that dh and I were trying. Its so hard not to when you work so close with people every day... well, when a couple months went by, and then its a year, people really ask questions. I told some people, who told others... I was kind of overly confident it would work (DUH!!) and when it didn't, I feel like people are treating me like either a.) I'm dying b.)I'm allergic to children and the mere mention of them will cause me to die or c.)ignoring me is the only way to keep me from dying... Its infertility people, not cancer!! part of me wants to sleep all day and cry, but there is another part that wants to get on with life and focus on this August cycle.

AF showed up today, so I can start bcps on Friday. I made an appt. for Tuesday to talk to my RE. I feel more in control!

This really is a great group! I just can't get over how many are teachers!!

Pinku~I wanted to cry sometimes when I was teaching last year... Especially when the kids would bring in their baby pictures. But, then there were days (like the day two kids took their pants off and ran around the bathroom), I wasn't sure I wanted kids at all...

Jackie~What treatments are they doing for dh? Mine was put on proxeed, which didn't do a whole lot, but cost a lot!! I hope you get to cycle in August, but if not, June babies are the best!! Geminis rule!!

Cilla~ I love the name Cecilla... It is one of my baby name choices, and your nickname is just too cute!! I bet it would be hard to go back in July... But, I'm kind of ready to go back now!!

Sorry for the short personals... dh just brought dinner home... its 8:30 and we haven't eaten yet, ah yes, we are sooo ready for kids!! haha!!

    Love,
    Joei

Hello - I would love to join the group...it may be late August/early September for me though. I have had b/w and saline u/s done and all came back ok to start w/ my next cycle, which should be the end of July. I will then start BCP, followed by Lupron, Follistim, etc...I think my ER/ET would be early Sept. but I guess that all depends on my next AF. Hope you don't mind if I hang out here though.

Our diagnosis is MF, so we are doing IVF/ICSI.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

    Bridget

    Jackie,

It was interesting reading your post about leaving your school. I'm going through the same thing right now. This SY I had 2 failed IVF cycles and 1 chem preg-FET this past school year and I know in my heart that I should take some time off to focus on my next cycle (or cycles!) It is such a difficult decision though! Teaching can be such a stressful job and it is also so physical (especially at the elememtary level) and I don't think it was healthy for me or my embies. Not to mention all the stress in sitting in traffic after my early morning monitoring while I'm rushing to try to get to school on time. I'm going to try to drum up some private tutoring business.

Happy 4th of July to everyone!

    Happy 4th if July everyone!

WOW! We do have a lot of teachers!!!

    Pinku –
Thanks! To be honest with you, school has been my life-preserver the past 3 years. It is like my “safe place” where IF & IVF doesn’t exist (most days) – until people start asking questions. When I walk in the door of the school each day, I leave everything else outside and things are so busy and fast paced, I don’t have time to dwell on things and get depressed. I am going stir crazy at home. I like the structure and routine of the school day.

    Wildflower Joei –
My real name is actually Priscilla. My family has always called me ‘cilla because my Mom didn’t want people to call me Prissy.

DH and I have to go get ready to have dinner with FIL. We may try to go catch some fireworks later this evening.

Hi girls, I'm glad to see we're going to have a big group. I started my new job yesterday so I have a lot less time to be on FT. But the new job is great and I have some IF benefits so that is even better!!!

We spoke to the RE's office yesterday - they should be giving us a calendar soon but it looks like we're aiming for ER around August 22nd. I guess it takes a little longer for us since he has to sync my cycles with DP's cycle.

    Happy 4th!!!

Hi girls! Mind if I join? I am scheduled for tentative ER sometime mid-late August. This will be my first IVF. I am so excited and a little nervous too. DH and I have been TTC for about 17 months, we are unexplained infertility. I've had 2 IUIs with no luck and I developed cysts each time so I've needed to take a rest cycle in between each IUI cycle. I was scheduled for another IUI this month but asked my RE if she would consider IVF since I am a teacher and it would be so much easier to do IVF during the summer. I was thrilled when she agreed! I look forward to getting to know all of you as we prepare for our IVFs and wait for our BFPs!

    Hello Ladies:

Please add me to the list... if everything goes OK, I start Lupron on the 21st. I am not taking BCPs (this RE doesn't think I need them, since cycles are regular)...

this will be my 1st IVF. You can read about my story on the tubal infertility boards. I am going to go to my homecountry to have my IVF. It will cost much less, I also thought it will be better to be around family.

I had an ultrasound yesterday, and everything looked OK. Now we are waiting for day3 results...

BTW, my cycle is off 3-4 days when I am stressed out. That's why I am charting, not to time baby dancing, but rather not to lose my mind when AF would come.

If AF comes at a normal time, I should have my ET middle of August...

Good luck August poppies... I LOVE POPPIES!!!
