Cyst Question, Please Help!

Has anybody gone through an IVF cycle with a small-moderate size cyst and everything worked out well??

My RE says my ovaries look sensitive, and like they will develop enough follicles, so there shouldn't be a need to worry about this one cyst on my left ovary (20 mm).

There was the option to aspirate it, but RE says I'm too anxious and probably wouldn't handle the procedure well. So he's saying his intuition is that it should be fine to just leave it.

I start my FSH tommorow!!!

So your advise and experience in this regard would be SO appreciated!!!!!!

hi Apple. I had a cyst about the same size as yours with my 1st IVF and I got 16 eggs. The only thing that would cause a problem/cancelled cycle is if the cyst is producing E2. If it was it would show up on your b/w and they would most likely cancel you. If they said you can go ahead I wouldnt worry at all. You can still very easily get a crapload of eggs!!!! I wish you the best!

I have 1 ovary and I ALWAYS have cysts on it every time I had IVF. They were still able to get 11 eggs each time (2 separate IVF cycles). Good luck!

My RE told me he will be aspirating the cyst at the time of egg retrieval, but prior to that we are just going to leave it alone.

I'm starting my FSH shots today, so I'm just going to pray that it doesn't enlarge or cause me problems!!

Hi Apple, I just had baseline u/s and b/w yesterday and there was a cyst on my left ovary. It was not as big as yours I think they said a 7. Anyway I got E2 results back and it was 66 so the cyst is not producing E2. I started my follistim today. -Annie
