The RE said "Wow!" Follie report!!!

Back from u/s 2.

Just a little history. Last cycle I had 11 follies and 7 eggs. My right ovary produced a large lead follicle that of course we lost and between the two ovaries I had quite a range in sizes so there were at least 3 immature at retrieval.

Today what we found is that the right ovary is not only shy, it is down right withdrawn. He couldn't find a single follicle - he tried, but nothing. My first u/s on Tuesday he "thought" he saw one but very small then said he couldn't really see the ovary but today.. nada. He said some may show by Monday (3rd ultrasound) but they would be way behind and no good (immature).

Now - the left ovary however is a little follie makin' momma!

On Tuesday he counted 6 and today he saw 10, maybe more he said! He actually said "Wow!" That's all I wanted to hear - the doc say "Wow!"

The best news is that they are all the same size, within 1mm of each other so we are hoping we actually get more eggs this time.

Doc was very happy, DH is very happy and I'm very happy.

We think there is something wrong with the right ovary. I get very bad stabbing pain on that side every month at ovulation. Back in the day I used to get huge grapefruit sized cysts over there, even when I was on depo provera. I could tell it wasn't doing anything this cycle because I've not been in pain. I think it has pooped out. I'll need to have that checked once this is all over.

Anyway... Monday 3rd ultrasound. Oh, the follies were around 12mm. My lining was "beautiful" TS 10.5
He is thinking Thursday for retrieval!

I am so happy for you!!! That is great news
POO POO to that right ovary...she just might be a little confused. Maybe you have endo built up over on that side or maybe that is part of your IF dx that you were unaware of until the IVF process.

Either way things look wonderful for you and that makes my day!!!!
GOOD LUCK on the ER

That's GREAT news! I'm right there with ya! Has 2nd u/s today and most likely ER will be Wed or Thurs.

I go back on Easter to get my eggs checked so will know more then.

Looks like we'll be 2ww buds! There is another poster McDuff who is on this same track as well, so we'll have a trio!

Best wishes,
Tara

My RE is a stickler for sticking to 14dp3dt or 12dp5dt, an eternity if you ask me!

The only time I got an earlier beta was when I had OHSS real bad, that was with IVF #1. So we'll see how I do this time around!

Best wishes,
Tara

That is awesome!! Great job! Everything looks just beautiful: great follies, great sizes, great lining!! Now we just need a great rest of the cycle, followed by a BFP!!!
