You always start counting the day after transfer so for you it would be 1dpt (days past transfer) and if it is a 3 day transfer you would be 1dpt3dt(or1dp3dt) or if it were a 5 day transfer (blastosyst) then you would be 1dpt5dt. (or1dp5dt)
Then you keep changing your days past transfer as you go!

I'm currently 9dp5dt and have my beta tomorrow.

    Good luck Rebecca!

Cathin1-I'm am so sorry for your loss. I am getting my beta tomorrow and I'm not feeling too positive right now as all of the hpt's have been -
This was our second and last IVF (This was a FET) so don't know where I will go from here.

    What will be, will be.

Thanks again for the replies, everyone on these boards are amazing!

jean marie, thanks for your response. I was a 5 day transfer so I guess I am now 1dp5dt. I have to wait until 4/25 for beta but I know me and I know I'll be testing next week after I'm sure the HCG is gone. I'll be watching for your update and keeping you in my prayers...Rebecca

You are so sweet, thank you! Try to hold out for hpt as long as you can! Take it from me, it doesn't help matters when that BFN is staring at you
I'm going to go to bed now so that tomorrow morning will come sooner.

Once again, thank you for your prayers and good wishes

I'm a firm believer in not POAS until after the beta results. But, that's just me! I've seen too many false results, both positive & negative, over my years here, so I just figure it's best to wait for the one & only true test!

I've seen ladies get negative hpt's the morning of their beta, only to go on to have twins & triplets!!

Don't lose hope yet!! Hang in there!!

My first positive (although I'm wondering if the "evap" the day before was a positive too) was 11dpo (or retrieval) or 8dp 3 day transfer.

GOOD LUCK!! Those sticks are evil, even when you do get the positive!!

Wanted to add that I find it easier to count from the day of retreival, which is equal to ovulation day. I find figuring it out from transfer confusing because everyone transfers on different day.

In general, the embroys implant at around the same day regardless of the day of the transfers--so an embryo of a 3 day transfer will "wander" around for a few more days than a 5 day transfer that is just about ready to implant when transfered.

I guess hpt's are right afterall. It's amazing how IF can change you an instant from being such a positive person to hating everything.
That was our last chance with IVF.

I wish everybody else good luck.
