no period after bfn

I had a negative ivf cycle in late Oct. I got an awful period after stopping PIO. Now it is day 41 and af is not here. (Of course, I've done a couple of hpts- bfn). My cycles have always been very regular. I'm supposed to start bcps on day 3 for the next round. The RE had me go today for progesterone and estrogen levels to see if I ovulated- don't know the results. Has anyone else had this happen? What does it mean?

Hi Abby,
I'm so sorry about your last cycle, but I'm glad to see that you're not giving up just yet!!!

It's very common for your cycles to get screwed up after a failed IVF & it can take a while for AF to visit again. If you don't start soon, I would call your RE & ask him/her to give you Provera to bring on AF so you can start your BCP's!

My cycles were pretty regular before my DFET in Sept, but got really screwed up after that. I had to go on Provera to bring on AF so I could get this cycle underway.

About 5 or 6 of the ladies I cycled with in Sept also had to take Provera to get things going for this cycle!!

Abby,

I had a very similar situation after my failed cycle in September. Finally I went in to see the DR. and he did an U/S. He found some cysts in my ovaries from the stimulations. He monitored them and they went away on their own. It delayed my FET for about 2 weeks, but I was fortunate that they went away on their own. I have heard that this is not uncommon, so I would check with my re. At the time I was soo hoping that the beta results were wrong and that I was really pg, but it was not the case.

Yes, I also had had a very late cycle after stopping pio from my failed cycle of IVF.

Period didn't come for 49 days and I had a positive ovulation with LH kit on day #35 (I thought I was preggers and didn't have any pee sticks so I took a ovulation kit test which I had on hand!!)

Now, since then - I am day 37 of my cycle without meds and ovulated on day 26 this time! Still no period and having negative pee sticks!

I am seeing an accupuntrist and he is trying to regulate me back to normal...
