Am I crazy, Or is this a cruel joke?

I got out of the shower and sat down to put lotion on. I kinda laughed to myself bc the lotion I have is what I bought the night that I also got the HPTs. Anyway, it made me look at the negitive test once again. The only thing is it's positive now. I know better than to get my hopes up. I was just wondering if it has ever happened before. The ET was on the 29th of Nov. Beta was on the 9th of Dec. I took this HPT on the 8th.
What in the world does this mean??
Help!!!!!
Thanks,
~Rhonda

Unfortunately, hpt's can have an evaporation line, which is what you're seeing. If your beta was negative, then unfortunately, it's negative, as the beta is the one & only true test.

Thank you Karen. I figured as much. But I was wondering if it was maybe a chemical pg or mc. I called the RE and it even stumped her. She said that the pink line meant there was a chemical reaction on the test. I asked about a evaporation line and she said those normally aren't pink, and are not in the same spot where a + would be. I don't think I am pg, just something about seeing that line makes you rethink everything. When I took the test I only waited about 10 mins (during the time I was in the shower) before I put it back into the box...
Oh well, I am still gearing up for our FET in Jan. Keep your us in your prayers please.
I keep telling myself that good or bad, I can say that we tried everything.
Thanks for the reply. I was starting to think I was crazy. Funny how a box w/ 2 HPTs and you get one that has to be a crazy test.

Thank you again Karen, for everything.

Rhonda,
I know, it IS crazy, but hang in there!! Seeing a 2nd line there does make you wonder. I've had an evaporation line on an hpt before too & it was pink, right in the spot it should've been. I'm just dumb enough that I did it after I got my BFN on my 1st cycle. Why I thought that the hpt would be positive when I already knew that the beta was negative is beyond me?! I waited the 3 minutes that I was supposed to wait & when it was negative, I threw it away in the bathroom. That night when I went to bed, I decided to torture myself & pull it out so I could have that blank stick slap me in the face again with the disappointment, & I was surprised to see that 2nd line. That was horrible because I KNEW that the beta wouldn't lie- but I had wished that it could.

I know lots of ladies who've had their fresh cycles fail & their FET's work, so be filled with hope!!

Karen
