Where do you get your meds from?

My RE gave me 5 pamphlets of pharmacies to choose from. I don't even know exactly what I'll be taking. How do I decide? Looks like 3 are local (too far for me to drive though), the other 2 are Freedom Drug and Metro Drugs. I think I used IVP Care on my last cycle.

Who do you use and why?

Amy

I used Freedom Drug for my Gonal F and the rest of my meds I got from Northridge Pharmacy. I basically get all my meds in Northridge. They are very inexpensive and really nice. I pick my meds up from them but they will send them to you if you live far away. Their phone number is 818-998-8700. You may want to call them to get some prices and see what you think. I am self pay and they saved me tons of money. GOOD LUCK!!

We tried to use Caremark mail order ($50 per prescription) but they refused to cold pack anything except the Lupron. It was about 95F when they were shipping the medicine on un-airconditioned trucks and leaving it on the porch all day with no notice. GonalF manufacturer states medicine should not be above 75F. We ended up using a local pharmacy for a lot more money but a lot less hassle.

I got my meds for my last cycle from www.roxsanpharmacy.com They had free shipping & we were able to save several hundred dollars!!

Look around, but be careful with Freedom Drug- they used to be one of the best places around, but recently some of our own ladies here have had some trouble with them. They were bought out by someone else & it seems that their level of care & concern has gone out the window!!!

I used IVPcare for my 1st IVF and Freedom Drugs for my 2nd. IVPcare did a much better job shipping the meds with cold packs, etc AND their shipping was first thing in the am. I was not impressed with Freedom at All. They did not cold pack ANYTHING - GonalF included. My RE said they recommend Freedom for GonalF because they had the cheapest prices.

This 3rd cycle I ordered from IVPcare and all was well.

Good Luck,
Kim

I agree I used IVP and Freedom. IVP did better with the shipping I received it next day in the morning and they did have cold packs. They are just a little more money. Freedom didn't ship anything with a cold pack and I had cetrotide that needed to be kept cool. But Freedom was better with their prices.

I use Neighborcare Pharmacy. They have a location at the hospital where my clinic is located, which is convenient, and they also deliver for free.

I used Portland Professional in Maine. Very good!!! Im also a self pay and they did everything they could with my insurance company. I got my meds over nighted for free and they thru in a bunch of free stuff. The sent the meds that had to be cold in the same pack with a coolie thing.

I used Freedom for my first IUI. I'v heard that Freedom was sold and they aren't as good as they used to be although I never had a problem with them.

When I started to IVF's my RE's office changed me to Village Pharmacy. They are excellent. They send next day at no extra cost and everything that should be in cold packs are.

I've had a great experience with Metro Drugs in NY. They haven't missed a thing and everything arrived FedEx, iced what was supposed to be iced. etc. Don't know about cost as thankfully, insurance has covered so far... Hope this helps!
