Has anyone ever had this test? My RE has suggested that I have this done since I have had 2 failed IVF's with pretty good embryos. The pamplet says they take a sample of your uterine lining after ovulation to test for the presence of the beta-3 integrin (glue-like protein necessary for implanatation to take place). Apparently if you do not have it the embryo may not attach properly and pregnancy chances are decreased.
Interesting sidenote: Pamplet also says that this is a very important test to do before IVF to predict success and that women with mild to moderate endometriosis (I have mild endo) are missing the Beta-3 integrin. You'd think she would have told me about this test before I went thru a cycle and not after 2 failed ones. Now I know why I am switching clinics!![]()

Kristy,
I've never had this done before, but I know there have been several ladies who have. I just wanted to bump this back to the top so hopefully one of them would see it.

Yep - my RE offers this test. He says however that he's found it's not changing success rates any.
He thinks that although it may have some validity to it, that he's just not as excited about it as he was a couple of years ago. But he still offers it, which says to me that he does feel it could be beneficial...
and treatment isn't difficult if you're missing it. What, like three months of lupron?Stacie(37)

I have had this test and it wasn't all that bad, it showed that I was missing the protien and it changed my treatment plans. They will add increased progesterone and aspirin to my protocol. I did it after 3 failed cycles with great embryo quality.
I did the adeza e-tegrity test. Good luck with what ever you decide

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this site and really desparate. My husband and I have been trying to start our family for almost 6 years. We've done several exploratory as well as corrective surgeries, 4 artificial inseminations, 8 fresh invetro fertilization cycles, and 3 frozen embryo transfers (some with our DNA, some with donor sperm, some with both donor eggs and donor sperm). We've been pregnant 3 times and sadly they ended in miscarriage. We have yet to be told by the doctors why we haven’t had a successful pregnancy. The only thing "wrong" is that I am missing a protien in the lining of my uterus. Can anyone tell me anything else about missing a protien and what we can do about it? I went on Lupron and had another failed cycle. I've always had baby aspirin and high dosages of progesterone. We have beautiful frozen embryos just waiting to be born and we have been trying to find a surrogate and have had nothing but disappointment after disappointment. We are seriously considering doing one more transfer (frozen) but I don't feel comfortable doing it until I know we can do something different. Again, I've been pregnant with a frozen embryo transfer before and some have failed, so it's quite confusing and heartbreaking.
Thank you very much for any suggestions you can give me.
Alexandra
