Can progesterone delay AF?

Hi - I was just wondering.. does anyone know???

It can and does for me. For my DFET cycle last year I used 200 mg suppositories and AF didn't come until after I stopped using them.

Yes, it can, and yes it does for me. It's the sudden withdrawal of progesterone support that brings on AF with me.

When you hear people talk about using Provera to bring on AF? The Provera builds up the progesterone, then the sudden stopping of the pill makes the progesterone crash, hence AF comes along.

But like Trud said, it's not always the case...

side note...my E2 crashed and I think that's why my period came. A sudden drop in E2 or P4 can confuse the lining and cause it to shed. In fact...during IVF#1, 6dp3dt I thought I had the famous "implantation spotting" no I just had a really low E2 and my period was trying to start. They increased my E2 but my thoughts are the damage had already been done.
