    Too flat too fast?

I am in my 2ww. I'll have my beta on Aug 3 (10dp5dt). I'm concerned, though, because after the retrieval/transfer, I was very bloated - couldn't wear any normal clothes due to mild OHSS. But since yesterday, my abd is completely flat. Does that mean my ovaries are back to normal size so I'm probably not pregnant? Not even going near the hpt's. Did that last time & it just makes me sad.

    Thanks!
    Sherry

I swear the 2ww is the hardest part of the IVF cycle up to the date of the Beta. Then the BETA date is HELL.

I can say that on my 2 BFP's of IVF cycles, I had mild -moderate OHSS in the 2ww then it went away right around the beta date. No kidding. It then reared its ugly head again about 3 days after the + betas.

Hang in there, we know this is torture in waiting, but signs be so mixed. Hugs and good luck to you for your beta!

    Hi Sherry:

Sorry you're dealing with OHSS...My OHSS showed up about a week after transfer and after struggling for a week with it, the fluid started to release, and I'm back in my regular clothes. I did have a positive test, and since the fluid released I'm feeling more like me. (I wish I had a flat abdomen!!!)

    All my best to you.

It's not a bad sign, just something that can happen. It's very possible that it will show up again in a few days, or it might just stay at bay! Good luck on the 3rd!! We've got quite a few beta's that day here!! Gonna be a busy day!!

    Sherry,

Good luck on Wednesday. Noticed you were from KC - what clinic are you using? We were with Dr. Stewart & switched to Lyles where we will have our first IVF in September.

I'm with you on the HPT - stopped taking them about a year ago.

Aimee: this is our 2nd w/Dr. Stewart.

Thank you, ladies, for the comments & encouragments. I am just trying to prepare myself AGAIN for another disappointment. I don't like bad surprises. A good one will be just fine, thank you, though.

    Hi Sherry,

This is my first IVF cycle and my beta is also tomorrow! I am going crazy. I have one hpt in the cabinet but refuse to touch it because I know I can't handle it if I don't see the lines. I'd rather have the doc confirm everything tomorrow. Good luck with your appointment. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow!!!

I guess it was a bad thing to feel better rather than worse - BFN.
