Don't worry! I just found this...

Hi all, this may be old news but I just found this study done on IVF patients and found it very interesting! Especially since I worried with my 1st IVF (b/c I was new to it all), didn't worry at all 2nd time (figured it was out of my hands), but then worried again this last time (financially and other factors) and look at my outcomes. Weird.
Here's the link:

So bottom line, DON'T WORRY ( I know, easier said than done, right?)!

HTH!
Tara

Studies such as this really bother me. I feel like these studies make women feel like they are somehow responsible for their outcomes and if only they didn't worry so much...

How can you NOT worry/be upset when going through this?

I'm sorry, but for most women - struggling wtih infertility for years - while all of her friends and relatives conceive easily and move on with their lives, and then deal daily with hormones, shots, doctors visits, major expenses, missing work...telling us to not worry is not helpful.

I'm all about relaxation exercises, breathing, yoga, massage, acupuncture and do all of them to put me in a better frame of mind for IVF. But I wish the media would lay off the stress and infertility relationship. For many women going through this, this "relationship" (which is not directly linked, by the way) does more to stress out women than help them.
