    Scared, feeling crappy after ET.

Hi Ladies, just looking for some encouragement. ET was yesterday...we put back 2 beautiful 8-cel embies, which I'm thrilled about. Problem is I feel terrible. My ovaries are very tender, I still have a pain from the needle during to ER, and my back aches so bad I can't sleep for more than 30 min at a time. I'm also somewhat bloated. I feel like I should be more ecstatic, but I feel so crummy. I thought these symptoms would be gone by now.
Anyone know how long I can expect to feel this way?

Probably a stupid question: During ET, Dr doing u/s commented that I had a "ton of ovary" He seem surprised. My RE just said "Yep" as if it was no big deal. I looked at the u/s and it looked like I had a ton of follicles. I was under the impression that all of that came out at retrieval?
I hate to call RE on weekend, but I can't go another night w/o sleep. I believe you're not supposed to use a heating pad cuz it could overheat embies...is that true?

Sorry, I think I'm just starting to panic now. I'm sure I'll feel better in a few days. Anyway, it will all be worth it for a BFP!!

Mary, I am sorry you are feeling so cruddy. I have never been through this (yet, as I am a July Firefly), but I wanted to send you hugs.

What I do know.... no heating pads. And drink gatorade. Sounds like you maybe have some OHSS.

    Hang in there.

    Mary,
As JO said, NO heating pads!!! It would be too much for your little ones right now, that also goes for no hot showers/baths too. How about having DH massage your back some for you?

Definitely start drinking Gatorade by the tons. It sounds like perhaps you have OHSS, so make sure that you're going potty as much as you're drinking too. DO NOT feel bad about calling the RE. You're paying him booku bucks so do not feel even a little bad if you need him. That's part of being a doctor. If you don't like the hours, don't do it, KWIM?

Your ovaries being tender isn't surprising because they were just poked to retrieve eggs, but perhaps your RE can give you some suggestions to help make you feel a little better.

Give him a call & let us know how you're feeling later, ok?:stickyvib:stickyvib:stickyvib

Thanks for the advice, ladies. I did call my RE over the weekend and she was wonderful, she called back to check on me a couple times. I definitely have a bad case of OHSS. I had an u/s today that showed a huge pocket of fluid behind my uterus, and RE said my ovaries are 4x normal size. My tummy is so huge I look 4 mos preg!
They did a gravity test which showed I was not dehydrated (thanks to the gatorade tip!)so we are just waiting it out. I shouldn't need to have fluid drained as long as it doesn't get worse.
My Beta is July 29th...I'll keep you posted.
