Our little miracle:

Each day as I watch you struggle I am reminded to find joy in the little things, to stop and smell the flowers, and that some things are more important than material things. Your smile melts my heart, and takes the chronic pain away, if only for a fleeting moment. Thank you for the joy that you bring, my son.

Dawn,

The first time is definitely a bit scary. My DH does ALL of my injections! I've never done one myself and don't plan to!!

Which clinic are you using in NY? I'm at Cornell.

Jen,

I'm using LIVE IVF, here in Long Island NY.. I couldn't be more happy with my RE and her success rates.. they seem all soo positive with me. Only concern really is that I might hyper stimming cause of my age. But they will monitor me really close to avoid it... Jeezz.. how do you maintain the excitement that in a little over a month we might be pg...

Dawn,
I'm glad you're so happy with your RE. Believe me, I'm thrilled at the thought of possibly being pg in a little over a month, but I force myself to stay grounded and manage my expectations as this is my 8th cycle (including 2 m/c's), so I am just trying to stay level-headed. But believe me, I want this to work so badly and I pray that it will for both of us!!! I can't wait to start the meds....... then we'll really feel like we're getting somewhere! When are you starting Lupron? I'm starting 7/1.

My RE actually said they skip the Lupron process... her words to me were "Medication is improving everyday, they beleive that Lupron actually only makes your cycle longer.. and so now they do BCP's to stims.. " I didnt' argue.

I guess its the same length... since we are stimming at the same time..

I understand the thoughts of staying grounded.. and deep inside I am grounded as well. The hardest thing for me will be the Sonogram.. every preg I have had has been etopic = nothing in the Sono.. thats how they knew it was a etopic.. So when the day comes that I see my jelly bean or beans in there.. boy be prepared to let the rivers flow with joyful tears.. lol but still I believe staying positive will result in positive.. I am really getting excited about this round.. hey we all know with IF its a battle we must fight hard.. so put your dukes up and lets win this fight..

Yes, we must stay positive and we will!!!!!!!!!! And we will beat this!!!
I understand the sonogram part of it all........... in my first pg I had 2 sacs and h/bs and then the h/b's disappeared!! So in the future that will be nerve racking for me as well! But we will win and we will have our babies!

Interesting about the Lupron. I just did an FET cycle without Lupron and without BCPs. Definitely made for a short cycle!! But this one will include BCPs and Lupron, and yes, it does sound like we'll be on the same schedule regardless!!!

Thanks for helping me to pick up my momentum!!! Speak to you soon.

Jen
