Can someone answer some lining questions?
I hear that triple stripe linings are good. What exactly is a triple stripe?
If one has a thin lining, but if it's triple stripe is that good? What is the minimum thickness a lining should be for implantation? Thanks!

Triple stripe is considered the "landing pad" for the embryo's. It actually appears on the u/s screen as 3 stripes. It shows the lining at the top, middle & bottom of the uterus. I believe that you can still get pregnant without a triple stripe, but it's better if it's there.
As for the thickness one should have at transfer, it really varies from RE to RE. My previous RE wanted it to be between 6-8. My current RE wants it between 7-9. I've heard of ladies getting pregnant with twins with a lining of only 6, so it's not impossible to get pregnant with a lining at the thinner end of the scale!! Hope this helps! Karen

My RE looks for this "triple stripe" funny I just has my u/s lining check today,
And my nurse explained & showed me my "triple stripe" lining. You'll see a line on the top middle & bottom. Mine measured 8-10 she measured it in 3 different area's. So she called it a, 9 triple lining. I think the rule of thumb is atleast a 7 lining and they prefer the triple stripe. I was curious is there such a thing as too thick of lining? I'm worried because I don't t/f for another 2 weeks! Take Care, PGDMommy
