Question? BCP's and signs of AF! (treatment ment'd)

Hi ladies.
I have a question. I am currently taking BCP's and I had a little pink show yesterday and a little brown show today and cramps? I am supposed to take my last BCP on 5/21/05 and start Lupron on Monday.
Will this ruin my cycle? Can AF really come when you're on the BCP?
I called my RE and she said that it's normal--it happens a lot. She said to start Lupron on Monday.
Is that true (the normal part)? I am a little nervous.
Thank you for any input.
Cheers,
Anne

Hey Stacie--I said that Friday the 13th would bring your AF and instead I saw hints of mine--that's just not right!

I had AF while on BCP when preparing for this cycle. I hadn't taken BCP in a good 5 years and have always been very regular. I had light blood for about 2 weeks while in BCP before I started Lupron. My RE also said it was fine - -just that my body didn't like the BCP. You should be fine. Good luck !!

Yes, it's very common. It's called break through bleeding. You can especially experience it if you're on bcp's for a long while. I had it and it freaked me out. But the nurse said it was okay. They need to warn us that this could happen. Good luck!

Me too... Took bcp's for 18 days and spotted pretty much the whole time. Not to worry!

Best of luck!
Lisa

"OMG, OMG, OMG."
I haven't submitted a new thread in such a long time and now there's two from me and they're exactly the same--I can be such a dork!

Thank you for the information. I feel better.
Cheers,
Anne
