Calling all June Butterflies!!!

Ok, ladies.......I know we've all been waiting anxiously and it's almost here (June that is). I know some of you have already started your stims and the rest of us won't be that far behind.

So my question is...............what changes have you made diet wise/physically/etc. to prepare for this? I just found out that I'm getting my meds, bloodwork, and ultrasound on Monday. Now I'm wondering if I need to start doing things differently. When's a good time to cut out the caffiene? I was thinking that maybe I should go ahead and do it now. Maybe I'm just so psyched that it's almost here that I just want to do SOMETHING or control SOMETHING besides waiting!

Good luck to us all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi! I am SO excited about June being right around the corner! I start Lupron Monday. I have decided to cut out all the bad stuff starting then too. No caffiene, alcohol, sushi, etc. after Sunday for me! I know it's supposed to be okay until stims but I just want to be extra cautious. Hey, it worked for me before so why change? Once my stims start I up my protein majorly. I'm talking eggs for breakfast, protein smoothie snack, salmon or chicken for dinner, spinach even. With my 1st IVF I didn't do the protein thing, with my 2nd IVF I did on advice from a nurse at RE's office to reduce OHSS. Not only did it help for OHSS but my egg quality was better too, coincidence? maybe but I'm not taking chances!! I do bedrest for 3 days and eat lots of pineapple then. Does it do anything? Who knows but like I said, if it worked before why mess with it? Oh and I'm also giving up artifical sweetners this time too. I love my diet root beer but will cut it out this time and drink sparkling H2O instead or V8. I also put my gym membership on hold. So I'm kinda crazy, but I don't want to have any regrets. Hope to see a lot of BFPs in June!!!

Take care,

Hi! I am doing the high protien thing as well! I have heard that it helps with egg quality, so I figured it couldn't hurt to try. I also cut out caffeine, started accupuncture, and am taking some vitamin supplements. The supplements are red raspberry leaves, vitamin b-12, flax seed oil, & folic acid. I am trying to drink lots of water as well. I am cutting back my excercise to just easy walks, and after transfer I will be on bedrest for two-three days. So that's my routine! Anyone else have tips?

Isn't it exciting that June is almost here???? I just can't believe it. Anyways, I started acupuncture a couple months ago and have been going weekly. I stopped drinking caffeine almost 4 years ago when I was pg with dd. Unfortunately I do break down though and have a bottle of coke 1-2x/week. I was a big time coffee drinker (decaf only) - close to 40oz per day. But have practically stopped drinking it a couple months ago at the advice of my acupuncturist. I am now drinking decaf green tea. I occasionally miss my coffee and maybe have 2 small cups a week now which is an incredible improvement from before acu. I'm not much of an exerciser however I have been doing more yardwork and occasionally manage to get on the treadmill. I doubt that will change much between now & then. I really should eat better .. but that is not going all that well. I have Crohn's disease and don't handle fruits & veggies very well. I love to eat salad & fruit but then I'm in pain for days I have to work on that. I also eat hormone free meats when possible. I probably won't due much in the way of high protein b/c I'm using donor eggs so I'm not sure it'd make that much of a difference for me. I am drinking tons of water (like 100oz/day).

Started lupron last night and my last bcp is Monday! We're on our way girls. Now let's all get those nice big BFP!!!

Bad me. I've slowly started having caffinated coffee again but the 50/50 (50 caffine/50 decaf). I'm just so tired that I feel I need it. I'm going to start cutting it down to just decaf. I have been good as not eating sushi (my favorite). As far as everthing else I'll get back on track come AF. That will be no alcohol, no tuna (mercury), more protein etc.

I've been under a whole lot of stress between work and SIL having twins any day that I've been very down and neglecting myself.

Hello! I too am so excited for June! I started lupron Thursday and am expecting my ER to be around June 8-10th.

I have cut out alcohol and am trying to eat lots of protein as well. My biggest issue is keeping my stress level down. I have a very stressful job and am just naturally a jumpy person. My DH even yells at me for walking too fast all the time! 8-) I am working on staying as calm as possible.

Best of luck to all of us! Many, many BFP's!

It's so nice to have other people to chat with about this! I've been so excited since I found out I have an appt on Monday. What I'm doing is pretty much like a frozen embroyo transfer so it's nice to know that my eggs have already been retrieved!!!!!!!! I'm so glad I don't have to go through that part again.

So speaking of sushi, what is the deal with fish? My DH and I eat fish probably 1-2 times a week. I know there's a concern with fish during pregnancy but I don't know the details. Should I cut out fish entirely or are there certain types that are ok?

My DH is also really worried about my stress level. My job is high stress most of the time. Lately, it's been really stressing me out. I've already decided that I'm probably going to take most of the 2ww off of work. I just don't need the stress from this place during that time. They've already been giving me crap about not being at work on Monday due to my appt. But I really dont' care and I'm going no matter what!!!!!!!!!!!!
