    My HPT story (preg ment)

Just wanted to share my story, since I know people are always wondering on weather to test or not. I was due for a beta on wed, but did a FRED test, which is supposed to detect 15-25IU of HCG, on the sunday preceeding. Negative. Monday, negative. Tuesday, positive, one day before my beta, so I was not very optimistic, doing the math, the best I could hope for (with a 48 hour doubling scenario) was 36, which is on the low side. But on wed it was 124, so go figure! Those tests are NOT very accurate, and I advise everyone to hold out! Or if you do test, don't get too boged down in the numbers game.

    IVF#1 Successful! Hannah b 3/10/03

I agree Lisa Joan - if you are going to HPT, wait until just a couple days before your beta or the day before...my # was great and it didn't show up until two days before...I was all disappointed because I thought it would show up 3-4 days before and it didn't...I had resigned myself to a BFN and it wasn't! So, the moral of the story is, no HPTs before 13 days past retrieval...atleast in my case!
