Need Some Advice

Hi ladies. I went for my regular gyn checkup today and got some rather disturbing news. I had an adhesion removed 3 years ago which apparently has grown back and is causing me pain on my left side, right near my left ovary I believe. Anyways, I know it has to be removed again but I'm going to go ahead with my IVF cycle this month as planned. However, my nurse swears this won't impact with implantation but I'm still scared. This adhesion, if it keeps growing, might wrap itself around my insides and push everything out of sorts. What are your thoughts and how much does a lap cost to do this? I don't have ins that covers it, ufortunately. Thanks.

Gosh, I really don't have any answers for you, but are you sure that your insurance won't cover a lap to remove adhesions?? It's not like it's an elective surgery! I hope that someone can answer your question for you!! Good luck & let us know what you decide to do or what you find out!

My lap would have been $7,500 if we weren't covered. Be proactive -- tell your RE to find a way to get this covered. Since coverage is a fine line, he may be able to find a way.
