Question to those who failed an IVF cycle

When did you get AF after your failed cycle? And how long after the failed cycle did it take for you to ovulate?

I started bleeding two days before my BFN. My cycles are normally 27-29 days but it's been about 23 days and I haven't ovulated yet. Is this normal after a failed IVF? Does it take a while for your body to adjust and get back to normal?

Thanks!

First of all, I'm sorry about your bfn. Sucks, doesn't it? I"m on my second cycle and after the first one, I didn't get AF until 4 or 5 days after my negative beta. As far as ovulating goes, I'm not sure, as I started stims right away for another cycle... It makes sense though, that your body would be out of whack after all the meds you've been pumping in!

I usually started AF 3-5 days after all my failed cycles... and I do that our bodies are a bit mixed up after all the hormones and will take a bit to get regular once again.

Sorry about your BFN.... don't give up !! xoxooxo

After my failed cycles AF was between 3-5 days after I stopped the PIO. Sorry about your BFN.

For me, 4-5 days after PIO withdrawal. And after each of my failed cycles, I had 2 very long cycles before my body got back to normal.

In other words, for the next two months after the failed cycle, I had almost 40d cycles before getting AF again, and then the third cycle was normal.

I'm sorry about your BFN. It's so confusing to understand how our bodies will react after going through IVF. As for me; the first time I got AF the day before the beta, the second IVF I got AF the day of the beta, and the last one I saw the witch the day after. My cycles were always 28 days after that. Nowadays my cycles stretch out to 40. You might want to ask your RE to check your levels just to make sure everything is alright.

Take care,

Rie

After my failed cycle, I didn't get AF until 10 days after stopping my meds. I don't ovulate, so I can't help you with that question, but yes, your body might be a little messed up after all that it's gone through.

I'm so sorry about your cycle. When are you going to do another one? I hope that you'll join us when you're ready & let us support you along the way!!

Both time I started AF 2 days after the BFN result. After the first BFN I was getting my period every 2 weeks. Found out I had a cyst and took the BCP and that staightened me out to my usual 27 day cycle. This last time I did get my period 27 days later. Go figure.
I'm sorry about your BFN. Keep the faith and take care!

Thanks, everyone, for your replies. I was so sad when I got my BFN and now it's so frustrating that I'm not even ovulating yet (not to mention the cost of three ovulation kids and still nothing...). I never got AF before my beta so it is weird that this time I did.

I'm hoping to cycle again in April or May, assuming all is well and my cycles gets a little more normal.

Thanks for your replies. I really appreciate it!

With both of my BFNs I got AF before my beta so I really can't help you there. I am not sure if I ovulated the next months after my BFN but I know that my cycles were wacky and I was normally 28-29 days and those few months were 34-35 days. Good luck!!
