Finally something happening!

Hi all! I feel like this cycle is never going to get here for me!! i was supposed to go early May but due to my clinic getting a new roof, they are not doing any IVF's from mid-April to late May. So now I am looking at a *maybe* late May to mid-June window.
I feel so helpless, like I should be doing something and now I finally am! I had day 3 b/w done Monday and they called to give me my results today (per my request). My e2 level is 30 and my FSH came in at 4.45!!! So I am thrilled! I have started BCP Wednesday (after waiting for af and having to do provera she finally showed at cd49!). I have my saline infusion Tuesday at 1pm. I always cramp when they do it so I can't believe I'm looking forward to it, but I am, I just want to get everything ready!! So at least now I feel like I am doing something by taking the pill everyday and having these tests done. If all goes well with my saline infusion then we will schedule the signing of the consent forms, get all the Rx's and *maybe* even get a tentative calander!

Thanks for letting me get this off my chest! (Can you tell I'm excited??)

PS- In case anyone is interested in a Charlie dog update, he is doing better each day, still using mostly his 3 good legs though. We hope with physical therapy he will start using the 4th one again. Although, I've got to say he's getting pretty darn good at getting around with just the 3! He still has a ways to go but he's still around and seems very happy.

Best wishes to everyone!

Oh, Tara, I SOOO know what you are talking about. When you are at a time where even a DAY seems like an eternity. But it's good that you have a few things in the making right now! Like the saline infusion (is that the same thing as a saline u/s?) - it's like laying out stepping stones to when you start jabbing yourself with needles!!

I'm sorry that you have to wait a little longer. Any amount of waiting really sucks. BUT, you're on the road to your cycle & it WILL get here!!!

Glad to hear that Charlie is doing better!! I was wondering about him!!

What clinic? PGD?

Anyone using a new york clinic? Antone do PGD testing before transfer? I am so torn as what protocol to follow. I have had three IVF's done and just miscarried on IVF # 3. I went to cornell in manhatten for a second, third fourth opinion at this point and they feel PGD testing is the way to go. They said 50% of m/c's are chromosomal abnormalitites. I had IVIG infusions for my last ivf becasue of elevated natural killer cells. No other dr. believes the therapy really works. I don't know what to do oh and then he mentions doing a HSG where I just had a hystosonogram so painful by the way. I don't know which dr. is the best for my needs. The money is running thin and I want to get pregnant and have it hold. This was my fourth m/c all the other three were off natural cycles no drugs last year. Please help me I am so frustrated and confused at this point. thanks

I am so sorry to hear of your many losses. I go to the Reproductive Medicine Group in Tampa. They have very good success rates. They also do PGD. I have not had it done myself but after m/c with 1st IVF I was seriously considering it. Here is the link to their site if you are interested.

Good luck!

Hi Tara.
I can empathize with you. . . . I, too, have been put on hold but for a different reason: another sonohistogram and outpatient surgery.
Maybe we'll end up cycling at the same time.
It's good to hear about Charlie!
Cheers,
Anne
