plse consider this low cost option of ivf and icsi bfore u give up

dear all ivfers,

im from mumbai , india . in the last 6 mnths that i hv been trying to conceive, i hv researched alot about the cost of ART in many countries and i would like to tell all of you to please consider mumbai, india as an option before u give up.

we have the best doctors and the technology is at par with the west. however our costs are much much lower .

ivf per cycle - $1700 ( all inclusive - doctors fee, cost of procedure , cost of injectibles, cost of monitoring during stimulation )
embryo freezing -$ 800 for a year

icsi per cycle $2100 ( all inclusive )

return airfare to usa - $ 1000

hotel - $ 30-40 per day.

this is much much cheaper than the costs in usa .

Thanks for sharing. You may also want to post this on the board that covers ways to finance your IF treatment. At one point I was looking into IVF in DH's native country, Sweden. We have to pay sooooooooooo much here in the US!

Costs in Japan

Hi Simi and others.

Cost of IVF in Japan is $3000 including everything. My clinic does not do b/w though, maybe that is why it is so cheap. Simi does your clinic do all the b/w testing?

My Clinic charges extra $500 for ICSI and $100 for embyro freezing. I think its pretty cheap.

Hotels are really expensive sorry. But I have spare bedroom and if I can open my home to someone then by golly I will. Jesus would have done the same thing, I would welcome anyone into my home going through this.

Airfare I think is around $1000 both ways from US, depending on what time of year.

I don't think I could ever afford to get IVF in the States. I applaud all you ladies who are there are suffering the high costs of this treatment. It should be FREE!!

God Bless You all
Dawn

hi magpievsn,
u r right, they dont do blood work unless required, they monitor the follicles only by ultrasound . and they use a shorter protocol for both suppression and stimlation

total cost of medication for my icsi cycle was around $600.

the online book that is on the home page of this site gives all the info. that is my doctor .

Hi there

Thanks for sharing this.

How much is IVF/ICSI in USA?

We paid R25 000 (which equates to approx. US$3 800) last year.
This excluded bloodwork. B/W costs about +-$200.

It included all medication, consults during cycle, scans, ER and ET.

Embryo freezing costs about $1 200, with an annual admin fee of $70.

It just might make more sense for you ladies to also think about SA.

u would be shocked to know that simple IUI's cost around $5000 ,

Each cycle of ivf and icsi would cost anywhere between $12000 - $18000 depending on the centre!!!!!!!!!!!!

so even if one travelled to india , they could do it 5-6 times as compared to once in usa!!!!!!
