Best of luck from me too!!!! It truely does only take one. I'll be thinking of you.
I hope that you will be able to stay hopeful during your 2ww. It doesn't change the outcome, but it makes the waiting easier. Being sad and negative for 2 weeks only to find out that you are pg is such a waste!! Also, my advice, try to stay away from the hpts. They too just make the waiting worse (regardless of whether they say + or -). Again, best of luck. It certainly can and does happen!! Karen

Wow, I am really touched by your well wishes. I haven't been on since I posted that the 2 fertilized, but on Sunday they called and told me that both started dividing. Today (Monday) was my transfer and they told me that both embryos were 8 cells and one was compacted which they said was good. I am feeling like those 2 eggs were strong and beat the odds so that these 2 embryos will beat the odds too.
When we got home from the retrieval, I plugged in 2 of those Christmas candles that go in people's windows. I put them next to a photo from our wedding. I figured that if the eggs didn't fertilize or divide, I'd put one or both of the candles away. My RE gives us the photo of both embryos so I put the photo with the candles and plan to keep them lit until I go in for my first hcg test in March. Thank you all so much for your support. When it is happening to you, it really can be very scary. |
